We're not even being that gung-ho about it, but it's probably my least favorite part of motherhood so far. Running to the bathroom 85 times a day so he can tinkle out a drop, trying to keep DD out of the toilet while DS does his business, having him pee his pants when we're outside so I have to haul them both back in to clean him up, blablabla. It's just not a fun process. This morning I'd planned to take them to the children's museum but he woke up OBSESSED with wearing his Elmo underpants and there's no way I'm a) fighting him on it or b) hauling him to a children's museum in underpants and visiting the bathroom 25 times and/or having him pee his pants while we're there. So we're home running back and forth to the bathroom. Funsies.
ETA: and saying it's the worst part of motherhood so far AFTER I pulled poop out of DD's mouth yesterday is really saying something. See my blog if you need an explanation on that one. Is it the weekend yet?
Re: potty training blows
My mom keeps asking if we can start potty training Gracie. Ummmm no. I am not ready for that!
Mine too! She's always saying that we should just put Kate in underwear. Umm... She's not even 2 yet, no thanks.

I'm going back and forth on that. He definitely has some signs of readiness and seems to WANT to use the potty, but he's still 4 months from turning 3 so part of me is thinking we should just forget it until then. Plus it would be way easier to potty train in the winter when we're stuck inside, anyway. Summer is busy!

I read your blog today.
I work full time, go to school full time, and volunteer for a million different things. Reading about your life makes me tired.
Just wait. Why put yourself through months of torture if you can wait till fall and get it done in a week? I learned that the hard way with Jakob.
Put him on the potty whenever he wants to but keep a diaper on him. Showing signs of readiness and liking to use the potty is a LOT different than being able to control their bladder.
Wurd.
My middle one, Maia, wants to wear undies and daycare wanted to potty train her. I told them she wasn't ready...they didn't listen. She pee'd all over their room all day long for 4 days consecutively...we finally told them to stop. (She is 1 month away from turning 3.) We knew the eldest was ready when she could go through the night and not wet her undies. So now we tell Maia that she can still wear pull-ups, but we will not switch her to panties until she can show us she can keep her pull-ups dry. Believe me, I am tired of buying pull-ups...but i am also tired of cleaning pee out of my carpet.
But I know EXACTLY how you feel. *ugh* THE WORST!
