Stupid me went out for a walk during lunch. It was sunny when I left, but when I was about five blocks from work, it started getting really windy. The wind actually knocked me down and then a small tree branch hit my head. Ouch! Just a little bump on my head, but it was scary!
A man in a wheelchair trying to cross the street got his wheelchair blown out from under him. It traveled across a major street and kept going. The security guards at the building I ducked in for cover had to run out and rescue him and they all fell down due to the wind when trying to get him in the building. Thankfully, he looked like he was ok.
The revolving doors in the building I took cover in blew together and broke along with a big glass window. We all had to hang out in the stairwell for about 15 minutes.
I am tired of all these Midwest crazy storms!
