Really irritated with DH right now

We bought diapers at Sam's on Saturday, but I think they are still too big for Andrew and we are almost out of the smaller ones. I asked DH if he could go get some of the smaller ones today.  His response?  "If I have time. If not you'll just have to go get some.".  Umm - I'm pretty sure you can swing by the store after work instead of going straight to the gym. That's a hell of a lot easier than me having to get Andrew ready and into the car and to the store.  Plus, I am working from home AND taking care of him all day - a little help would be nice.

Vent over  :(

  • I truly think that they don't know what it takes to get that little person out of the house. We are going away for the weekend and I have already started to pack or at least organize all the crap that we need. I am pretty sure that Friday night he will put some underwear and socks in a bag and congratulate himself on being ready early!

    So true!
  • Ha! Men are from another plant I swear! They have no idea what changes have really taken place since our LO arrived. My husbands life is pretty much the same. Still goes to the gym everyday, still plays bball, still seen his friends and can make whatever runs he needs to while he is out and about. I on the other hand have to work around his schedule if I want to get anything done or go anywhere and he couldn't last one day if the tables were turned! I haven't taken LO out yet because it just seems like it would be a lot and I'm a little nervous ha! Sorry I guess I'm venting too off your post, but I totally feel you. I probably would have went off!!

I think we have the same husband.  Indifferent

I showed him last night though.  I fed LO at 8pm & I went to bed.  I left a fussy non wanting to sleep baby with DH in the living room.  I shut the bedroom door & allowed myself to disconnect & actually go to sleep.  I don't know what time DH got LO to sleep or when he brought her in the room but it was 2am when I had to get up & tend to her.  I slept 6 hrs straight.....I feel like a new woman!Stick out tongue

Men just don't understand sometimes.  They just think that we are home all day so it must be easy.

June Siggy: Fave pic of Aubrey and me :)

  • Men can be so dumb! I don't think they realize how much work goes into getting the baby ready for an outside trip. My DH refused to buy more newborn diapers after we were out, insisting that DD was big enough for 1's. I think he just didn't feel like going to the store for me. So when he got home, he diapered her in a huge 1 and she promptly peed all over me because the thing was so huge on her. It took me being covered in pee and ready to slap him to make him go to the store to buy more newborns. Ugh!

He texted me a little while ago that he was going to stop after his training.  I think he got the hint after he saw the expression on my face this morning.  If looks could kill I would be planning a funeral right about now.
