Life insurance rec?

Hey ladies.  Do any of you have life insurance, and if so, do you recommend your life insurance company?  We have been going through the process with Banner Life, and I have to say, I am so frustrated.  I feel like the process is never-ending.  Each time they tell us they have all the info they need, they come back and ask for more.  And their rates are very misleading - the rates they initially quoted us are hard to qualify for, and only a very few number of people get them.  LMK if you have a life insurance company that you like.  Also, if you'd prefer to email me about this, my email is a underscore hardison at yahoo dot com.

    First check with your homeowners/auto insurance company. We have our homeowners and auto through Allstate, and adding term life insurance policies for Mike and me is actually really affordable, given the multiple policy discount they offer. We also talked to Met Life, and they were helpful, but Allstate was cheaper.

    Mike's employer offers portable life insurance policies at low cost, so we have those for both of us. We are planning to add supplemental life insurance policies through Allstate before Mike turns 40 this year.

    Thanks!  For some reason we didn't even think about checking with our current homeowners/auto.  Doh!  Good idea.

    We got our insurance through my brother who is an insurance broker.  He does health, life, dental.

    We are happy with ours.  We had some paper work to fill out and then a physical.  I was pregnant at the time and I still got a good rate.  We do ROP--return or prime or principle (not sure which)--which means that we get some money back if we out live our policy.

    If you want my brother's info, let me know and I will email it to you.  Like I said, we are happy with it.  He is easy to work with.  We got DH/DS Humana ins. through him.

    Life insurance was sooooo frustrating for us! I have depression, so it seemed like every company gave me a way below standard rating for that. I ended up working with a broker who used ING Direct and that's who we went with. It ended up being the cheapest by a WHOLE LOT! We got both of us $1m policies for less a month than the other companies were giving me alone and I'm younger than DH. It's worth a shot if you can find someone who works for them.

    There are some agents that make purchasing life insurance a very tedious job!Once they?re on your back, it?s hard to get them off! All that frustration led me to search for life insurance online. I filled in an online questionnaire and got instant life insurance quotes from some of the best life insurance companies. I could compare prices, terms and conditions, as well as current company ratings by financial ratings institutes like A.M. Best. I had some doubts that I needed answers to before fixing on a policy so I called up the website?s customer service people. They were very helpful, unbiased and gave me some good tips and recommendations. You may get better discounts too, since online transactions entail less administrative fees and commissions.

    My DH and I got a term life insurance policy online. We tried agents (I agree they can be very frustrating!), but online quote provider, Accuquote.com gave us the best prices.
