Nervous first time mom to be...

I have been having brown discharge on and off again before and after I found out I was pregnant. I am 6 weeks along. Dr. says this is normal and only to worry if there is severe cramping and/or red blood. I keep taking pregnancy tests and am excited to see the positive lines every time. I can't wait to tell everyone, but I feel like I have to keep it to myself until my first prenatal visit just in case something goes wrong. I am a mixture of excitement and worry. My husband doesn't get it. I just needed to vent and know if the brown discharge is normal or something to worry about.

    I thought the book "What to Expect When You're Expecting" was really helpful for answering a lot of my first time mom questions.  It put my mind at ease many times.  It was available at my local library, which was great.  HTH.
