Here's the thread about how we were going to tell our parents:
https://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/53664133.aspx
They all got their onesies in the mail today! DH's grandmother was confused as to why we sent her a onesie but once she read the letter she got excited & cried! (her first great-grandkid)
DH's parents went nutso and were way more excited than we even are!
My parents didn't check their mail today... so I called them... no answer... called again... no answer... called again & my mom answered- my sis had a seizure today & had been to the hospital- told me about how my cousin was going to have a baby boy... yada yada... never checked the mail.
Finally I told her to go check the mail! They were very excited when they got it, though!
Re: Update: Told our Parents!
That's great that you got such wonderful reactions.... and your parents finally checked their mail!!
I hope your sister is OK. I had epilepsy as a child so I know seizures can be scary.
Yes, she's okay for now. She had them as a kid for about a year and they went away. They came back when she was 19 and now she's 22 & still has them. They're usually brought on because of diet, lack of sleep & (mostly) alcohol in her case, and she doesn't take care of herself. A lot of denial & wanting to be an adult without having the maturity to know when to stop & take care of herself.
Makes me so sad! But at the same time, I can't stop her, so that really stinks.
Aww! I like the onesie idea... I talk to my mom every day & I could not be patient enough to wait...
Hope your sis is doing better
