Crazy Appetite

Does anyone else feel like they go from nauseous and having to force themselves to eat anything to eating too much of something you are craving? I feel like I can't control my eating at all right now! I'm starving one minute to feeling sick the next. Hopefully this stops by the end of the first trimester!

    Yeah, I'm that way. For breakfast I can pretty much only stomach cereal at this point. The thought of other stuff makes my stomach turn for some reason, even toast. I sometimes want to go back for seconds sometimes, but stop myself because I know if I do I will be sick. Then by lunch time I have no appetite whatsoever. I will try to eat crackers or something but never much. By dinner time, "morning" sickness has set in and I just don't want anything. People keep telling me to "feed the baby" but how am I suppose to eat adequately when I have no appetite after 10am? I'm already a little overweight...I'm not gonna force myself, ya know? And then I have to lecture that at this point I only need about 300 extra calories per  day and should only gain about 5 lbs in the 1st tri. haha

    I completely understand!  It's a terrible feeling to lose control of your appetite.  Friends and family seem to think I'm either being unreasonably picky or carelessly self indulgent.  But I simply can't help it either way.  Oi.  Come on second trimester!

    Yes, it's crazy.  I was so hungry last night that I couldn't wait for DH for dinner, so I snacked, then ate more with him, and felt terrible afterwards.  Of course I woke up starving.

    My appetite is totally off the charts.  One minute I'm ravenous, the next minute food sounds horrible!  Last night we were discussing what to have for dinner - NOTHING sounded good - so hubby decided to go out for Mexican food.  The whole way there I tried to imagine eating something yummy, nothing looked yummy, not even on the menu.  Then the chips and salsa were set in front of me and I couldn't stop eating them!
