your LCs don't know how to help you anymore! It looks like I'm not going to have much of a choice but to be an EPer if I want Colton to have BM for as long as possible.
After 10 days of EPing, my nipples were finally healed (or so I thought) from the blisters that LO gave them and my thrush finally seems to be under control after a month. Well, after nursing him for less than 12 hours, one of the spots reopened and I'm back on the pump. I'm really at a loss for what to do. I just spoke with one of my LCs and she basically said "I hate to tell you to give up, but I really don't know what to tell you." She mentioned that I just might have super sensitive nipples since my skin is really sensitive. I haven't tried a nipple shield yet because the LCs are afraid that it will start a different set of problems. I have an appointment with a dermatologist Wednesday (I had this appointment because my OB wasn't sure it was still thrush), I'm hoping that maybe she can help...... I'm supposed to call the LC and go to the office after my appoint to let her know what happened and pick up a nipple shield.
Anyone have anything else I can try? I hate being tied to my pump!

So long as you use the right size shield it will either not hurt, or just hurt significantly less. My LO still managed to draw blood from my left side which was the worse and apparently not as healed as I thought it was, but I had no pain on the right side even though it def still looks tender. Also, Im basing my pain gauge on your previous post and my understanding that your pain was as bad if not worse than mine. Its still not a walk in the park and there is some discomfort and soreness/ throbbing, but its nowhere near as bad as the pain I felt without it.
Sorry for crappy grammar and typos, typing 1handd on my phone while attempting to nurse
