Wondering if anyone is taking allergy medication at 8 weeks that is ok. Between morning sickness and allergies, I can't take it no more. Went to Walgreen and brought Clairtin and checked with doctor today. doctor said no to clairtin. only benadryl which i have used in past and doesn't work.
Re: 8 weeks and Allergies
I decided to suffer through it but once I hit 12 weeks, I just couldn't take it anymore. I feel like I am begining to develop a cold or respiratory infection from not taking care of these allergies. I'd rather take Zyrtec (which my doctor approved) than have to take an antibiotic because my immune system is so beaten up. It basically came down to the lesser of 2 evils. So I am taking the Zyrec temporarily until I feel better.
Good luck and I hope you feel better!
This! So much better to try this first than to use meds. I have horrible allergies and my OB said no to any meds during the 1st trimester. She also said that Clariton would be better than Zyrtec once I'm in my 2nd trimester since Clariton has about around so much longer than Zyrtec so they have more of an idea of long term effects. GL!
Our third addition is on their way!
