Hi ladies,
I went in for my first appt today. He says I am 6w1d (one day off from my chart) and has me at Jan 13 due date as of now. I saw the little flickering heartbeat, but he says things look normal when I asked for numbers ( he wouldn't give me specifics). He also found a cyst. I have to go back in two weeks to get it checked on. He said no sex and at that point will let me know if I'm safe to fly out of town for a week next month. I hope it doesn't grow. My question is for those who have a cyst or had one with a previous pregnancy, this isn't too much to get worked up over is it? He said he sees this commonly and it just need to be monitored. He also told me running is out (which I have been doing regularly), I can do other cardio that does not involve pounding. I cant wait to hear more about everyone's appointments.
Re: Appt/ultrasound today, question too!
I don't know anything about the cyst but I'm glad your doctor said everything is going well.
I am curious though---did he say no running/pounding because of the cyst or is that his general recommendation for pregnancy?
He said this strictly because of the cyst, otherwise I would have been able to carry out my typically exercise routine as long as I'm comfortable. He said hiking, walking, elliptical are all fine but the pounding that comes with running is something he does not want me doing. The cyst was about 1.5-2 inches and looked huge when he showed me on the ultrasound.
ETA: Ive been a runner my whole life and I am going to miss it, but I will do anything for a safe pregnancy.
I am 6w1d pregnant too.
Tech said she saw a cyst too but she wasnt even going to mention it until I asked her if I still had one. She said yea its there and they are normal and that it will more then likely go away on its own.
what was your babys heartbeat?
Hi,
I get cysts everytime I ovulate. I went to the doctor today and they told me I have a large cysts that's causing me some major discomfort, but they told me all is well and it's nothing to worry about.
They always seem to resolve themselves on their own for me. My OB told me the pregnancy hormones make them feel even worse than they really are.
Hang in there!
