what baby nursery room  theme did you go with? if you did, love to hear your  ideas, i'm so excited in decorating my baby girls room,  so many great creative ideas out there, i went with a country chic theme, that includes owls, trees,birds, and hand painted furniture and art that i did my self. would love to hear your ideas :)

    The new baby will share a room with Margaux, at least until we find a bigger place.  Margaux' room doesn't exactly have a theme... we just pulled from parts of her heritage.  She is part US, part French, born in Quebec, with English, Welsh, and Basque blood - and her grandfather was born in North Africa, and my mother spent most of her life in Mexico.  So, we've gathered what we can to represent all these bits.  I've also been trying to collect pictures of everyone in each of our family when they were babies, to hang on the wall.  :)

    I love the country nursery theme, it sounds warm and welcoming!

    when i'm finally done with Sierra's room i will post pictures, just needing the final touches a rug and a ceiling light, and i'm done

    No nursery here - he'll sleep in our room until one of the teens goes to college..whenver that is!

    Ours will be a sports theme.  Mostly Philadelphia Phillies/Baseball stuff.  With other sports mixed in.

    um, we were supposed to have a theme??

    j/k ... i'm too lazy, don't care, and really don't have an eye for that stuff.  and ... DS just moved out of our bedroom last week (he is 3y3m) ...

    haven't decided yet for this one and when I notice that I'm a few wks ahead of you,... I'm starting to worry... AGGH.  We have to move our bedroom first, then we can set up his room.  Was thinking sports or antique airplane/travel kind of theme...I refuse to do ANY of the bedding sets with MONKEYS in them.. Why do all the boy / animal themes have monkeys in them???  They're just NOT cute.

    As for my DD's room.. it is kind of a garden theme....antiquey handpainted cream/ green/pink crib, walls all painted all light green, pink accents (cubes for her toys, light blocking curtains, and floral pattern --Kidsline set called Julia) big hot pink flower pillows on floor, soft green play table/chairs and green leaf canopy from IKEA and a wall growth chart from Pottery Barn Kids that has a pink/green trees, birds, flowers on it... and I just got some cute wall decals from Target that are a tree, birds, etc...an embroidered wall hanging with a "all things wise and wonderful... all things big and small the Lord he made them all.." that my mom made when I was a kid.... and it has butterflies, flowers,trees...etc. (more meaningful now that she's gone.. she passed away almost 8 years ago). Our glider is tan and I put her comforter from the bedding over the top of it.  I LOVE her room.. it is so sunny and cozy...we live in a cape, so it has the slanted ceilings which add to the cozy factor.

    We decided to skip a theme. We're not very creative and this way there is much more flexibility. And the rest of the house is... eclectic.

    We did paint each of the four walls a different color, so there is still some sort of decor. Turquoise, lime, orange, lavender. (We were team green.) With lots of white trim and a wood floor.
