Babysitter Price - Carroll County

We had our first paid babysitter this weekend.  We paid her $13/hr because we didn't have change for a 20.  The next day her mom said that it was too much money.  We were planning on paying her $10/hr.

What do you pay a high school babysitter?

    When I babysat in high school, I made $10/hour.  I'm 32 now.  I'd imagine $13/hour is probably fair. 

    There is a website that lists the going rate for sitters based on zip code.  I don't know it though!

    I wonder what her mom would consider a good price to be.  I think $10-13 is a fair amount to pay.

    Hi, I live in Carroll County and have been babysitting here for the past 10 years. $10 is a very good amount. My poor SIL is 18, graduating this year and she babysits 3 kids for a few hours once a week and is barely paid $8/hour.
