Mommy Instinct??

My friend didn't find out the sex of her baby until the day she gave birth. She said all along it was a girl and she swore she had mommy instinct! My husband and I have this feeling that we are having a boy! Of course we won't be able to know for quite sometime, but its sure fun to think about! I was just wondering if any other mommy to be's out there are having the same gender feeling or if they were right with what they were feeling? Again, just praying for a H & H BABY! Smile

I "knew" right away with both my dc's. And with my 2nd I really wanted another girl but I just knew it was a boy. Lol! This time I don't really have a preference but I feel like it's a girl. We'll see if I'm right again!

I was convinced my first was a boy. So convinced that at my 20w u/s, when the tech told me it was a girl, I was shocked and made her go back and check! I even asked my doctor if there was any chance the u/s tech could've been wrong.

Don't get me wrong, I was thrilled to have a healthy girl, but stunned that my mommy instincts were so off. Because of that I'm not even going to try and guess what this LO is.

Did she have a girl?

My friend just "knew" she was having a girl. Decided not to find out until birth and when they handed her her son.... she was like "no, it's not"... LOL...

I just "knew" I was having a boy and we found out at 19 weeks that we infact were having a baby boy. Of course we all have a 50% chance of being right. This time I have no feelings one way or the other about what I'm having. Maybe that means one of each? Huh? lol

I've had a feeling from day 1 that my little poppyseed is a baby girl. I find myself taking greater interest all things baby girl...clothes, nursery, names. I just wodner if this 'mommy instinct' or wishful thinking. but i really do want a little boy too. i guess only time will tell!

My husband and I both feel like we are going to have a girl. Not sure why, just a gut feeling. But I guess we'll find out in a few weeks!

I definitely was certain that I was having a girl and was in complete shock when the u/s tech told us it was a boy. The mind is a very powerful thing and you can definitely convince yourself if you think about it long enough.

I told DH {before we even got married} that the first kid we?d have would be a girl. & it was. I?m ?feeling? a boy this time Guess we?ll find out in about 3 months!

I'm so sure I'm having a boy I'm gonna be SHOCKED if they tell me its a girl!! We can't find a girl name, we can't decide on girl bedding....but everything boy is picked out and decided! DH and I went shopping the other day and I gravitated straight to the boy's side. We'll see if my instinct is right! 8 more weeks!!!

I am in the same boat, i say im 97% sure its a boy, pick out boy everything set on a name. nothing for a girl...so lost on a name! i will be very shocked if they say girl...but dh thinks its a girl and he was right about my ds. Every "gender test" thing says boy, chinese chart, baking soda, ring on string...etc.

I was 99% sure I was having a boy with my first DS, and about 80% sure with my second. We were team green both times and it was really fun to be right! Right now I am finding myself gravitating toward girl names and girl stuff, which I never had before (and I don't care what the baby is.....3 boys would be fun, or we wouldbe thrilled to welcome a daughter).

With my 1st pg I though I was having a boy and as they say I guess I was carrying like a boy because everybody else told me they thought I was having a boy. Well low and behold I had a H&H baby girl. My dad was one of few that thought I was having a girl. So my mother instincts was off (I think I thought I was having a boy because I wanted a boy, but of course I was happy with my H & H little girl), but Pop Pop's instincts was good. Big Smile

I was wrong both times. I thought my son was a girl and my daughter was a boy. I obviously have no mommy instinct. I'm thinking this one is another girl but totally basing that on the fact that my pregnancy has been exactly the same as mine with my daughter.

My husband is positive we are having a boy because he wants someone to carry on the name. I'm not sure if he has convinced me or if it's mothers instinct but I've been thinking boy also.

My instinct and the Chinese Prediction charts say girl. I guess we will find out in a few months!

I think we have a 50% chance of being correct with our instinct. I was sure DS was a boy and got lucky that he was, because I bought all of his bedding and such before we knew his gender. I am sure that this baby is a girl, but we will see....

Haha Pocky, I did the same thing with DD. I was so convinced she was a boy. When the Dr. said "It's a girl" I think my jaw dropped to the floor. I was hoping for a girl so it was a nice suprise!

I feel like im having a girl... I dont know what it is but I just have a feeling. Everyone else seems to think it will be a boy. I guess time will tell!

I have known with all three of mine. With my second, I kept saying he was going to be a girl because timing-wise, it would have been so much easier as far as clothing and stuff, but deep down, I knew he was a boy. I just thought if I said it enough, he'd be a girl. Plus, I had all sisters and I was TERRIFIED of having a boy. I had no idea what to do with boys!

Really have not had any gender dreams but only Mommy dreams indicating that Im having a baby:) It would be nice though!
