hi ladies,
My OB delivers at St. Joseph. Hubby and I did the childbirth class and tour last weekend. It was a great class and the nurse that taught it was very enthusiastic and knowledgable. I was a little shocked at how run down some of the (un-updated) rooms looked, but everything else seemed okay. Then today a girlfriend told me when she delivered there, they brought her the wrong baby after she gave birth. She wasnt wearing her glasses so she was holding and nursing a baby that wasnt hers. When her husband came in and held the baby he saw the wrist band and realized they had the wrong baby.
Is there anything else I should watch out for at St. Joseph??
Thanks
Re: Any one have info about delivering at St. Joseph?
I only know a little bit about this hospital, but I would say RUN AWAY!!! Is this your only option?
I used to be a pediatric and neonatal transport nurse for TCH and have been to this hospital picking up kids and babies and bringing them back to TCH. I would definitely not deliver here if I had the choice.
I'm sorry my review is so negative.

I dont really feel like I have a choice this late in the game. I am a 7 months along and the perinatal Dr keeps telling me I have a high chance of early labor- like any time. My OB only delivers at St. Joseph.
I will just have to see how it goes- my Mom is also a nurse so she will be assertive in there for me and I told my husband to keep an eye on the baby to make sure we have the correct one. lol
