W (6.5 months): **75th% for weight/90th% for height (at 6 month well baby)**, officially crawling, pulling himself to stand, babbling (lots of "mama" and "baba"), cutting teeth (bottom right has broken through with at least another one on the way), fighting naps like a champ, beginning stages of sleep training.
J (26 months): **25th% for weight/50th% for height (at 2 year well child)**, loves to entertain, Mr. Personality (unless he's in front of strangers, of course), starting to ask "why?" and/or "what?" ALL.THE.TIME, blossoming independence - wants to do EVERYTHING for/by himself (except getting dressed?), cutting his two year molars, transitioning to big boy room, this weekend.

So, what's new at your house?
Re: What's new?
Will is such a big boy!
Nora's doing a lot of the same stuff - just starting officially crawling after months of army crawling, pulls herself up on everything, will mimic so many things (even snapping her fingers, which is so cute). Napping like a champ, thank baby jeebus.
DS: has been on antibiotic for the last few weeks.....stupid ears! He's becoming Mr. Social - very into playing with the 3 girls across the street and we are SO sad that they are moving soon. All of poor DS's friends keep moving....he needs some new pals! I'm not just being a biased mom when I say this....the kid's got a freaking awesome jump shot...he spends A LOT of time practicing it! He just discovered that DD likes to hold his finger and he will just sit there and talk to her and "hold hands" ::MELT:: He is very much looking forward to swimming weather!
DD: 14# and 25.25" long at her 4 month well visit. She's still getting up 2x at night to BF....it's KILLING me since DS was STTN by 10weeks. She is head over heels in love with her big brother. She is showing preference toward some of her toys and is doing a great job getting them into her mouth. Pedi gave us the green light for cereal, but I think we're going to wait til closer to 6 months...she really isn't showing much interest.
Our new HVAC system is scheduled to be installed Fri....FUN times! And our front entry way is so wet and rotting that it was sprouting fungus over the weekend.....yes.....shrooms were growing out of the wood. Just waiting on another quote and reference checks before we get that taken care of.

We got new carpeting in most of the house over the past couple of weekends, and we have reclaimed the family room for adults. We made our unused formal living room into a playroom. The family room looks pretty bare with no toys in it, but the playroom looks pretty cozy and K really likes it.
She has transitioned to the 2 year old room at daycare. She likes it just fine but drop offs have been pretty traumatic since she's moved. The kids look so much bigger and older to me in there - I know she's going to change so much over the next year.
Her vocabulary and comprehension seem to be expanding every day. She's correctly using pronouns and seems really concerned about who's a boy and who's a girl. I love being able to carry on a conversation with her! She has recently learned the words to "bringing home a baby bumblebee" and sings that to me every night at bedtime. She can identify her numbers and some letters. She's very independent and always has to do everything herself, however redundant or inefficient.
I'm working on her "big girl" room - I'm making a quilt for her and have started collecting other decor. She slept in the guestroom (which will become her room) the past couple of nights so she wouldn't be in her current room with the new carpet (fumes). She slept so well in there (in her PNP) that I think we should move her soon - I think she'd transition well to a bed since she wanted to lay in it.
I've been super busy at work but everything is going well. I feel a little guilty about not being home as much, but it has allowed DH to spend more time with K without me.
We're planning our vacation and I'm really excited to take K to some of my favorite places as a kid.
My kids are amazing. They drive me nuts on a daily basis, but their laughs and sweet hugs are like heaven on earth.
Tyler - turned 20 months old Saturday. Unbelievable. He's much more of a boy now than a baby, but thankfully he still loves being in my lap when I get down on the floor to play with him, and he loves being rocked to sleep. Those minutes with him snuggling on my shoulder are like nothing else and make the stress melt away. He talks a blue streak -- there is no word that he doesn't attempt to say and we are astonished at the words he knows and the things he understands. He's in the 90th percentile for weight, about 70th percentile for height as of his 18 month well check 2 months ago. He was pretty sick all winter, but I think he's been healthy (or reasonably so) for a few weeks now! I think he is cutting his canine teeth right now -- his one year molars are all in and the canines on top and the two directly under them on the bottom gum are the only ones he has left. He dearly loves being outside, he loves Justin more than anything, and his favorite food is watermelon.
Justin - such a bundle of curious energy. He will be four in a scant 2 months from now and he is so long and lanky, it's hard to believe he was ever a baby. He had his 4th set of tubes put in his ears 2 weeks ago, and since he had to have a pre-op checkup, I know that he is 41 inches tall and 40.5 pounds. He wears size 5 shirts easily, size 5 jeans for the length (thank goodness for adjustable waistbands), but he can still wear 3T shorts! He had his first dental visit at the end of April, where they discovered a cavity -- I blame his father for passing on the gene for soft enamel. He got a filling last Monday and that was worse than any experience in the hospital for ear tubes or even getting stitches. He's trying to give up naps but he still takes one every 3rd or 4th day, I guess it just catches up to him by then. He loves to talk back (sassy kid), tell us no, and he is learning some expressions at school that I'd rather not hear -- he makes up and sings songs about "poopy butt" and other bodily functions. He burps like a champ -- boys are seriously gross!

The Chronicles of Justin and Tyler
C is awesome. Can't believe she's 14 months old. Walking around like a champ and got her first big girl shoes at Stride Rite this weekend. She's a total ham and the absolute favorite at daycare. She says Mama, Dada, Baby, Duck and Buh-bye. She's a talker like her mom. She thinks you say bye-bye whenever you greet someone, so we're working on "hi". She loves hanging oustide, but tries to eat mulch and rocks all.the.time. We blew bubbles for the first time this weekend and she love it. She's so much fun.
The job still sucks, which is why I'm on here procrastinating.
In the last few days Levi has started to become a brand new baby, well in some ways...but it's a start! He's just now hitting 2 weeks of being on zantac for his reflux and it's really starting to make a difference. We're now able to put him on his back for extended periods of time, before he'd scream his he was flat for just a minute or two. He's even been sleeping in his crib the last few nights...and he finally started taking a paci as well! He still hates riding in the car though. He's just over 2 months and was 11lbs and 23 inches at his check up....just under 50th percentile. He's wearing anywhere from NB to 3 months right now.
Noah is crazy as ever! He's busy all the time, talks non stop....it really amazes me how much he knows and the things he can remember. He recently learned how to recite the entire ABC's. He's really into all sports right now. We're still working on potty training. He'll go if we put him on the potty, only a few times has he told us he needs to go. We're waiting for the newness of Levi to pass before we fully potty train him, he's had a hard time adjusting so we don't want to spring too much on his.
Just over 5.5 months, 22.3lbs, not sure on height- we will find out at our well check on June 1. Teething has been rough the past couple of days, this afternoon I finally noticed one had broken through a tiny bit. Rolling all over the place, when we put him on the ground in one spot, he rolls back to belly, belly to back, all around the room. He also scoots himself on his back by lifting his butt in the air, trying to get toys. Experimenting a little bit more with solids- tried avocado and he's in love. Still only a few spoonfuls per day, just for practice. He has a fun personality but is very serious around new people- most people comment "wow, he's so big" or "very serious boy!" I love him so much!! I can't get enough.
Ava: Her last day of school was May 12th and her teacher sent home all of her end of year projects and report card and said she made friends easily in school, always joined in the lessons and mastered everything she should have academically. Since she's an August b-day I asked if we should do pre-K next year or the 4 year old class (which is basically an extra year of preschool for those who want or need it) and they said definitely pre-K. I signed her up for a Spring session for tap/ballet and she's busy with that right now. She's also starting calling me "Mom" instead of mommy. I'm not a fan. Too soon.
Charlotte: Turned 2 last week and we had her party yesterday. We're going full force with potty training. She's been going on the potty since she was 16 months (her choice, not mine) so we've got that part down, but now we're actually putting her in underwear and trying to keep them dry and she's doing pretty good. She's full of personality, having a language explosion and she can be as sweet as pie or a total pill. She loves her sisters, whether it is tagging along with her big sister (she loves when Ava includes her) or constantly being up in Lila's grill and trying to hold her- she doesn't mind her role as the middle child at all.
Lila: 4 months, still not rolling either way, but I don't think it is for lack of ability (she seems really strong), I think it's her personality. Either way, I'm not worried about it, I'm just enjoying this one and not rushing her. She seems to be an easy going girl anyway. She's over her colicky phase (I hope) and is starting to entertain herself (bouncer, playmat, etc.), but she is still a major cuddle bear, which I love. She likes to be upright and watching everyone, so we'll be getting the exersaucer out soon. She's also found her feet (my fav). I love how mushy and limber little ones are. So cute!
B: 33 lbs, 37" (???) These are estimates... He seems so big to me! I turned in his registration for preschool today.
He learns more and more every day, and truly astounds me with what he knows. He can navigate on a computer- types in www.pbs so pbskids comes up (it's cached), goes to starfall and fisher price on his own, uses a mouse or a touch screen computer, and loves it. The hardest part is pulling him away from the machine. His memory astounds me. He may not talk much, but my goodness does he know a ton- the security code for our alarm, the code at school, and the password to my laptop. Lately he has been into looking at pictures of himself from birth to now. He loves to point out himself and family members. He also loves to read Sandra Boynton books- he acts out Blue Hat Green Hat, which makes it magical to read. It is soooo cute!!!
His vocabulary is growing slowly. He learned to say Goodbye on Friday, and says "goodbye goodbye goodbye" over and over and over again. On Saturday he said "goodbye" followed by the sign for "ball"... it took me a while to figure out what he wanted, but we figured out he wanted to go to the Children's Museum to the ball zone (this was after looking at pictures from there and he says "goodbye goodbye goodbye" while signing "ball" at 7 pm on Saturday. Um, sorry son... Anyway, our biggest news is that we are writing an IEP for his speech delay, and he'll go to the preschool through our school district next year. We did our evaluation last week and should have everything in place before the school district lets out for the summer. When dh and I sat there waiting for him during the preschool eval, it was kind of surreal watching all of the older kids (think late elementary school) and thinking 'this could be him before I blink'
I am excited about the possibilities for him with this program because of the intensive speech he can get, but it's also very humbling knowing that your son isn't 3 yet and already has a label.
Thanks TTT for doing the update post!
H: 25 months....29 lbs. and some ounces, 36 in. or so (at 2 year checkup and I can't remember exact #'s bc I forgot to take their books to write them down! whoops!) He is finally starting to talk a little more. He has learned a handful of new words in the past few weeks, but he still doesn't say sentences. He's as smart as a whip, but his speech lacks and I think it's bc he doesn't get enough child interaction. He has figured out the blu ray player, puts his crocs on the right feet, and his favorite word is "no" or "nope''! I can't keep track of the number of times a day I hear that! We are working on counting and ABC's! We are hoping to transition him to his big boy room soon so that when we transition L to the crib H doesn't feel like his baby brother is kicking him out of his room/bed (we only have 1 crib). Oh and H has started putting one leg over the crib trying to get out, but hasn't quite figured it out yet and he starts to lean forward so we are afraid he's going to break an arm/neck/etc. trying to figure out how to get out. yikes! He LOVES to be outside, refuses to use the potty, and is still a paci addict!
L: 4 1/2 months.....14lbs. 13oz. and 25 in (at 4 month checkup) We are finally starting to see an improvement in his demeanor. He still has fits, but not nearly as many and it's awesome. Most of his fits now usually revolve around the fact that he gets over tired. I would love to get him on the 2-3-4 sleep schedule, but most days he can barely stay up for more than 2 hours at a time. He is still taking his reflux med and we saw the GI dr last week. She upped his meds and told us to start putting cereal in his bottle. I actually haven't upped his meds like she told me too bc I don't feel he needs that much plus cereal so I've been doing his old dose plus cereal and he seems to be doing well. We tried the cereal in the bottle and he HATED it so we are now spoon feeding him! He generally takes it like a champ and I'm hoping that the cereal (since it has more vitamins and iron) will help his immune system and we can keep him healthy for more than a week at a time! He is rolling both ways and can scoot himself around on his belly. He's starting to push up with his arms and I think once he gets the hang of that he will be crawling in no time bc he can get his knees under him and booty in the air! He is still sleeping in the swing for most of the time he sleeps. Every once in a while we can get him in the PNP, but that's rare. I'm sure when we move him to his crib we will have to sleep train
Madelyn: 3 years and 2 mos. old...she is such a joy these days, and DH and I are so proud she has taken to her role of big sister with such ease and joy! She is a little chatterbox, and we crack up at the funny things she says that we've never heard before. Just tonight at storytime, she looks at her Dr. Seuss book and says, "Mommy, his hair is wet. He needs to dry it so it will look pretty just like mine!" Oh mylanta.
She is still struggling with eating (a variety of foods..) she only eats like 5 foods, seriously. However, her pedi says she's healthy, growing, and happy, which is all that matters, so we're hoping she snaps out of this as she grows older. She weighs about 26 lbs. and is 32" tall... she is our teeney peanut for sure. She continues to amaze us with her joyful personality and zest for social interaction...she is definitely NOT shy. Still pretty resistent to potty train, but I know she understands what it is. In 2 wks. we are going to go all out with big girl panties and just hope for the best.
Olivia: Will be 7 weeks tomorrow! Where does the time go??! She is such a sweet baby, but this child HATES to be burped. I'm talking she turns red/purple/pink just trying to get a simple burp up...and boy, does she have some pipes! She definitely cries more than Madelyn did, but she is SUCH a good eater! BFing is going very well, and we have her 2 mos. check-up on 6/6. She naps well during the day, and she loves watching the lights and the ceiling fans. Big milestone this week: she just began focusing on our faces and grinning/smiling which is so adorable!! She makes the cutest faces... and every now and then she'll coo or babble. She is sleeping for 3 hr. stretches at night, so I'm pretty wiped out usually, but the good thing is that she has been doing better at putting herself back to sleep in the RNP. She has an awful batch of baby acne currently... something Madelyn never had. I hope it clears up soon! We love our girls!!
Henry is 27lbs of daddy, the more he grows the more he is like his dad. We splurged on shoes last month at Monroe Outlets and the stinker now wears a size 6.5! and they have to wide because he has his dad's Barney Rubble feet!
Serena had her 4 month check up last week, 11lb 5oz 23inches long. Bought her some Robeez when we went shoe shopping and the girl's feet are so small size 1 are way too big! She is a petitie little thing, rolls halfway over and can tippy toe her exersaucer enough to push her way around. She also LOVES the dials and turns them herself. She is very serious, much like Henry and B both.
Me, I am on week 2 of my Summer courses and 4 weeks left to go. very intense and finding myself burning the candle at both ends but DH is being a gem and picking up the slack for me when he is home and letting me take naps. I will be glad when my Summer actually starts!
Nolan just turned 3 months old!!
He is still exceeding all expectations developmentally for a preemie. He now holds his head up, smiles & coos. He got wrist & ankle rattles this past week & has realized that he is the one who can control them. It's sooooo FUNNY to watch. He will move them...pause....then crack up laughing. I could & can watch him do it all day long.
He is 36% for his weight & 1% for his height compared to other babies his gestational age. As far as his adjusted age peer group he is off the charts weight wise & 56% height. So he is doing well.
He is still eating every 3 hours. ARRGGHH!! We have some nights where he will go 4-4.5 hours but it's not the standard. The pedi did warn us of this & we have to go by his adjusted age not his gestational on the STTN milestone. He is still not sleeping in his crib as we are co-sleeping. We are working on putting him in the crib more (as I type this he is passed out on snoring daddy's chest)
He has been doing much better mood wise since being on Zantac. We made our first road trip last week to visit grandma in Michigan & he did really well in the car which I was surprised with since he hates the car seat. He did really well at the zoo this past Saturday - pretty much as long as he is in the Moby wrap he is the happiest baby!!
I'm adjusting to my new life as a SAHM - realizing that no matter how hard & a pain the rump that it is I need to get out more - I wouldn't give it up for the world!
Alex -- almost 3.5 yrs. He is doing well. I just signed him up for preschool here next fall at my school. I'm going to check out 2 more places, but I'm 85% sure he'll just come here. It is the vocational child care program and other staff members have sent their kids here. It is only 3 days a week for 2.5 hrs, so I wonder if he'll need more time in the classroom or not. I'm going to take him for a speech evaluation too just b/c he seems to be having some troubles with sounds still. If he needs therapy, I rather we do it now over the summer instead of finding out later we could've helped him sooner. He is doing well with Cameron and I'm hoping I can keep him entertained this summer. I'm thinking of some camps for him but don't really know where to start. He is still wearing 2t pants/shorts!
Cameron -- 4 months. I'm blessed with great babies. He is a great eater and sleeper. I can't wait to have the rest of the summer off with him. He goes to his 4 mo. appt next week so we'll see where his growth is. I don't think he is that big, but a lot of the stats I've been seeing he is already past. He was 13# and 25 inches at his 2 mos. (I think those were the numbers), but Alex was a big baby and is now a peanut so we'll see. Cameron isn't rolling over yet, but he is babbling and squawking a lot. He is a side sleeper too so I think rolling is just a matter of time.
Other news -- our basement is about 50% complete so hopefully by the end of June we'll have furniture back in it. I still have to submit my claim to the county but am waiting for other estimates to come in to show them, even though we're having a family friend do the repairs and we've done some of them ourselves too.
What a fun post!
Logan just turned 3 last week. His well child isn't until 6/1 so I don't know how big he is exactly, but according to the WiiFit he's about 36lbs. He's in size 4T clothes. Right now, he's all about the solar system or "space" as he calls it. He talks about the planets, moon, and sun all the time. He just got outer space big boy bedding, and we'll be converting his crib to a bed this summer. He's also still very into Toy Story. He can be quite sassy, but also very sweet. He's kind of like a Sour Patch Kid. He's always been pretty outgoing, and I am really loving this age. Now, we just have to get him potty trained!
Cerys is 11 1/2 months. The big 1 year comes up June 10!! I got her birthday outfit yesterday (via mail). She weighs around 19-20lbs and I have no idea how tall she is. She cracks me up. She will carry around my laptop bag, or my coach wristlet like a purse. She drinks from a sippy all day (water) but still takes bottles for formula for naps/bedtime. We started the milk transition this week (25% mile, 75% formula) and hope to put her on the sippy for them as well next week and be done with bottles for her. She has a new love, as well, taking blankets/clothes/towels and "hiding" then peeking out to applause. She also LOVES dancing. She wants to watch youtube all day long. She says mama, daddy, ity (like kitty but one syllable), pop (my dad), and bad bad (bald bald for my brother since she can't say Jason). She's been great and I adore her. She'll eat anything too, which is great!
I am on bedrest, which stinks. My brother came to help for two days and my hubby is staying home to work from here Wed-Friday of this week. We will figure out next week then. I left the hospital Sunday and was 2cm/50% and 32 weeks pregnant. They said he is breech and if he stays that way we'll do a version around 35 weeks because they don't think I will make it much longer than that anyway. I am still having at least 2 contractions an hour and last night I had them every 8 minutes or so. No point in calling unless they get more intense is what they said. Shoot me-contractions are the devil and they are so uncomfy. I go Thursday for a checkup and hopefully the ole cervix is the same.
We close on the new house June 10 and have some friends helping to paint that weekend before our stuff is delivered the 13 and set up the 14th. It's going to be a lot of work, especially since I can't do anything.
Love the updates!
