We'll be traveling a lot this summer and during the Holidays, so I think we're going to get a Peapod Plus by Kidco. The biggest ones should be fine for DS and, since he's still in his crib at home, I like that it will keep him contained at night.
We have the Kids Aerobed and the Regalo Cot - the airbed is more comfortable, but the cot is more compact, so what we use depends on how much room we have in the car. More often than not though I'll just put DD in a regular bed anyway (either with us if we're in a hotel, or if we're at a friends house, we'll "borrow" their bed for a nap or until we leave).
We have this also and Cedric sleeps fine on it. I bought it at Walmart for about $25. It was in the baby section around the portable high chairs and potty chairs.

We just used the Shrunks inflatable toddler bed for a trip to the Caribbean and it was fantastic. Inflated in 2 minutes, has a "mattress" that inflates and then gets put inside a larger inflatable side to keep DS from rolling out, and takes regular toddler sheets so we could bring them from home. He loved it and it folded back up into a little bag that fit into our luggage with the pump. It's definitely my favorite purchase so far this year for kid stuff.
At the beginning of May, I found the toddler/kids aerobed (the one with raised sides)on Walmart.com for $38 with free site to store shipping. We bought it and will use it for future trips. If you decide to go that route and are not in a hurry....just keep checking Walmart's site...they change their pricing frequently.
Re: Toddler Travel Bed?
We use this. DD seems to sleep ok on it since she sleeps in a cot at daycare.

We have the Regalo cot as well. It works great and is super easy to set up.
