DH and I have a lot of times in July/August that we are going to need a dog sitter for Tera. Family usually watches her, but most of the time they will be with us. I REALLY don't want to take her to a boarding place.
Do you have any experience with dog sitters that you could recommend to me? You can either tell me here or send me an e-mail: emonnin (at) gmail . com
Any info would be fantastic! Tera is a wonderful dog and loves just about anyone. We are trying to fill the times, and we will probably get most of them, but may have 1-2 times we will need someone.
Thanks!
Re: Dog Sitters?
We also take Toby to a doggy day care style boarding facility when we go out of town and IL's aren't available. He LOVES it there. Literally the moment we take him off the leash he's off running inside to play with the other dogs on the jungle gym (it's an old children's daycare). And then when we come to pick him up he doesn't want to leave. One time they sent him out for us to take home and he just looked at us for a couple seconds and then started pawing at the door to get back in! Haha. Anyway, it's called Four Paws and I have Katie P to thank for that wonderful recommendation.
If you want a sitter, I know there is a lady at work that watches dogs in her home. Her name is Shawn and I'll email you her number/email. We considered her services because she's inexpensive ($15/nt) but decided we'd rather have Toby go to Four Paws (which is $26/nt and there's a coupon online for $10 off a stay).

We use All Creatures Pet Sitters and LOVE them. Anita walks Koda every day and when we were in the hospital for Brynn (all 3 times) she dog sat for us. Koda just loves her. Anita is super nice and really loves the animals.

Love Four Paws. Can't say enough good things about them and how well they take care of Roxy.
