Turning a breech baby after it "drops"...

Is it possible to do an external cephalic version (ECV), or "turn" a breech baby after it has dropped into the pelvis? I'm sure it is possible b/c my doc put me through on the hospital schedule to do it next week (I'm almost 38 weeks), but she's LOW low. Will it be alot harder to accomplish this, or is it simply b/c there is no point in turning a baby that hasn't dropped b/c it could flip back up?

  • not sure on how to answer your questions.  but my chiropractor does a method called the webster method.  or you can try laying on the floor, on your back, with pillows under your pelvis/butt area, so that area is higher than the rest of your body.  may take 30 minutes or more.  or try pelvic tilts, on all fours.  these are supposed to turn baby, but i'm not sure if they work after they've dropped.  try spinningbabies.com.   good luck!  i hope this info helps.
