Pretty sure dh forgot my bday

I am not mad, I kind of expected it. I thought about reminding him last night but he pretty much napped from the time he got home until I was ready to drop and just put jack down and went to bed. He left at 5:30 to go to work this am and I knew he wouldn't remember at that hour but I was thinking there would be a call or a text by now? My plan is to hand him the baby and a bottle when he walks in and head out for a pedicure. He is kind of afraid to stay alone w the baby but I think he can handle it for 2 hours. Now my question is do I clue him in or let him figure it out? He just called while I was writing this to ask me about the storm and mentioned nothing.

FWIW, I'd remind him.  I think my dh would feel way worse if my birthday went completely unmentioned, even if it was me that had to mention it first.

I would have someone else remind him about your birthday.  Is there someone you could call who would be willing to nicely inquire what he has planned for your birthday?  That way, if he does have something planned you won't ruin any surprise, and if he doesn't, it gives him time to come up with something.  The best part is, you don't come off as nagging or being whiney.   For sure, you should get a pedicure!

  • Well happy birthday to you!

I'd probably hand the baby off and say I'm heading out to my bday pedicure, see you later. Then I'd scoot out before he could say anything.

  • I too like the idea of someone reminding him.  If not, then go ahead and mention it, but try not to be too hard on him ha!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

I also would see if some one can remind him.  For the benefit of the doubt maybe he has something planned for tonight.

I will admit I would be feeling the same  way as you.

I would mention it to him.  I agree that you will both feel worse if you don't tell him.
