I don't plan on buying any actual nursing bras, well, maybe one...but I just was going to use regular bras that are comfortable with no wire and easy access for LO. I was thinking the other day about clothes to wear postpartum while I am still swollen and dropping the baby weight. Also, shirts that will be appropriate/easy for nursing. It will be summer here, and the temps stay above 100 until the end of October, so I will need mostly tank tops. What are you all planning on wearing post partum?

Re: Postpartum Clothes (specifically nursing tops)
Thanks for the advice! Are they online only? I don't think I have seen them in any stores...
I found one in the store but the others I had to order. It was hard to find. I was looking at the nursing bras and just happen to come across it. I did find some at a different Target (after I had already bought online) so maybe it depends on the store. The brand name is Gilligan & O'Malley.
What size do you suggest? Same size as pre-pg and maternity clothes? Or up a size?
I'll speak to this, since I am postpartum. If you are planning to pump or BF, you will need:
2 nursing bras. Get a black one and a white/tan one in a material that stretches. Honestly, just resign yourself to the nursing bras. They are so freaking convinent....you don't have to completely disrobe each time you need access to the ta-tas. Plus, after you are done BFing or pumping, you'll want to let the girls air dry. The nursing bras give you support (it feels so much better when they are supported) but the nipples are explosed letting them air dry. I was a C/D before, and fit the D perfectly now. What is nice is that if you get the kind where the material stretches, you can buy the size now, and assuming you stay somewhere around that size-ish (like I did), then you'll have no problem fitting it.
2-3 nursing tank tops. Get a black one, a white one, and one in another color. I got white, black, and a navy colored one with yellow lace on the trim. You'll use these to sleep in and for wearing out of the house as well. Perfectly paired with a skirt that has a drawstring top. Pretty much, my entire summer wardrobe. Get it in a size that fits now. If you where a large now, get a large. The tanks are also stretchy, so they'll accomodate a belly that changes in size.
You can dress up/down the tanks+drawstring skirt. Pair it with a nice cardigan = good for church. Pair it with a cropped jean jacket=good for a party. Leave it be=good for home/casual attire.
Both the nursing bras and the nursing tanks can be found at target. The bras are under $20 and the tanks are under $20 each. Don't waste your time at motherhood maternity...their prices are crappy when compared to Target.

I was a 34C pre-pg and 36D after and I ordered a medium. Also, make sure you get the long. I bought one on sale and didn't realize until it arrived that it was shorter than the rest.

I really think you will need the nursing bras, and more than one. In the beginning I had issues with leaking and needed spares for when I got one wet. I can't imagine any regular bras that would really give you the access you need.
Like the others said, I loved my target nursing tanks because they were comfortable and when you opened them up, they opened up wide so there was no extra material to get in the way and, again, get leaked on. When I went out I would wear mostly Old navy cotton tank tops over the nursing tanks if I planned on bfing in public. Around the house it was the nursing tanks.
For pjs, I got regular victoria secrets pjs with a button down top that worked great with the sleep bra.

If you plan to nurse you will need nursing bras, simple as that. It'll be a complete PITA otherwise.
I second the rec. for the Target nursing bras, they are my favorite so far. Super comfy and reasonably priced. I have a couple bravado ones that I got off of babysteals, honestly they are just okay. I really don't get all the fuss when it comes to bravado, I much prefer the target ones.
