I am at my wits' end with this. Last night was the worst...up several times trying to to pee, spending up to 25 minutes in the bathroom...sometimes having no luck whatsoever, sometimes managing to get a tiny trickle out (far from emptying it). I have tried every position possible on the toilet, and even got in the tub like my m/w recommended. Never can I get a steady stream that actually empties my bladder. I finally was able to empty it at about 8:30 this morning. And went again a bit ago and emptied it (not much in there that time). It's much worse at night, I think b/c my bladder gets more full at night, so maybe tonight I will try setting my alarm and going every hour?
I am just exhausted. But I SO don't want a catheter. I'm about 11.5 weeks...m/w said within a couple of weeks my uterus should reposition and give my bladder a break. I am counting on that, but who knows how long it'll actually be??
Sorry, just had to vent...hoping someone might have some further insight. I'll be calling my m/w as well.
ETA: Sorry, should have included background info - I was already tested for a UTI - negative. M/W says since I have a tipped uterus it is likely pressing on my bladder, but will right itself soon. Guess this is not uncommon. I have a friend who had to be catheterized for a week b/c of it (in both of her pregnancies).
Re: I can't friggin' pee!!
Ugh! I'm so sorry....I can't imagine.
Can you see a urologist or do they think it just has to "fix" itself with the PG?
I hope you can get some relief soon.
Hang in there!
ETA: I just realized I said urologist, which is a male doctor....duh! PG brain at its finest
Apparently it's not uncommon in women who have tipped uteruses...and at some point it will right itself, relieving (no pun intended) the problem. So, I don't think a urologist could do much for me.

I've already been tested...it was negative. This has to do with the positioning of my uterus in realtion to my bladder.

It might sound silly, but it works! Do you have a sink by your toilet? If you do, turn on the warm water and hold your hand under it. That is what I did when I had trouble and it worked everytime.
Now whenever I run my hands under warm or hot water, it makes me have to pee.
Not to scare you, but that is the first symptom I get when I have a kidney stone coming...If you have stones they are more likely to pass when you are pg b/c of the increased blood flow.
I hope you get some relief soon.
I'll try it, but the issue is that my uterus is pressing on my bladder, shutting down my plumbing. I don't know if warm water is going to fix that, you know?

That is the worst!! I had the same problem with DD #2 and it lasted probably 1.5 to 2 weeks. I think it was right around the end of the 1st tri also. Night time was the worst. I would walk around in the hopes of "shifting" my uterus enough that I could pee.
Hang in there!
I've walked around like that too. How bad was it for you? Did you struggle as hard as I've been? Did you talk to anyone about it?

Yeah, I understand what you're saying. I have a tilted uterus too and had a more mild problem like this than you are having, and it worked for me, but if yours is more tilted it may not help, as you said. Like PP, it did go away for me though.
