My Birth Story (PsIP)

Good Morning,

 When I have a few minutes I thought I would type up my birth story! Last Saturday (May 14) around 3:00 pm i started getting some cramps (runner's stiches on my right side). I just thought it was gas so i just kind of wrote it off. The pains were about 30-45 minutes apart but they came and went. I wound up going to bed that night around 11:00 and my DH said i bet we will be going to the hospital tonight!

I woke up Sunday morning and we totally fine! No cramping, no pain, NOTHING! I had a nice breakfast and started relaxing. Around 11:00 the runners cramps started up again and i called my OB and she said go to L&D when they get 5 mins apart for 1 whole hour. around 2:45 they were around 4-6 mins when we headed to hospital. When we got admitted, I was 3 cm's dialated and 100% effaced. They said i wasn[t leaving unless I had a baby!

I labored for several hour (pain wasn't nearly what i was expecting it to be) but around 9:30 I decided I wanted the epi so we did that. I went from 5 cms to 10 in about 5 hours. Around 2:00 am we began pushing. I pushed for 3 1/2 hours until my doctor told me that the baby's head was stuck and I would need a C-section because he wasn't coming out any other way.

Brandon Vincent was born on May 16, 2011 at 5:58 AM! He weighed a whopping 8 llbs 7 oz and was 21 inches long! He was absolutely PERFECT!
