We need to start getting some quotes and designs. We want to use a licensed, insured contractor that does this professionally and legally with all permits pulled and inspections completed so please, please don't suggest we do it ourselves or use your Uncle Larry who finished his own basement. My marriage doesn't weather major DIY home projects well and while I am sure your Uncle Larry is a great guy, we really don't mind paying the premium for a company with a well-documented track record.
So if you've had dealings with a company or contractor in this area do you have any recommendations or warnings? And if you're willing will you share the cost per square foot?
Thanks!
Re: Recommend a professional basement finishing company/contractor
One friend of mine used Champion and was pleased with the results. I know it was $$$$$ though.
Another friend of mine used someone else (yes, it was a contractor), and I really liked their results. They even got that contractor to match the finishes on the upper level of the house (it's a ranch). I'll see if I can find out who they used...
Thanks ladies. I will take all the leads I can get so we can shop around on prices. We're in no hurry.
And Hav2Run: we are still in need of someone for our microwave issue. I have a carpenter I am going to call but I am afraid the job is too small for him. I am having the worst time finding someone!
Spit my drink out from laughing. Thanks:)
Because your Uncle Larry is a drunken perv. I have a restraining order against him so if he shows up here again I'm calling the cops and he's going back to the clink.
