Hi ladies!
I'm Tosh. I have a 4 yo DD that I am contemplating starting allergy testing for. She has had the worst dermatitis since she started eating solid foods and doctors just brushed it off as dry skin. Now that I have been diagnosed with more allergies than I care to count, I'm wondering if she is actually allergic to certain foods (I know dairy is a likely culprit with dermatitis).
Do any of you other moms have food allergies? I am gluten and wheat intolerant, dairy intolerant, egg intolerant, and have allergies to all fruits but berries, bananas and pineapple, and all leafy green vegetables and most legumes. I have to be careful with corn (some products bother me, some don't).
Just wondering if there are any more of me out there? It's been almost 2 years that I've been living a "free" lifestyle and it's still hard. I feel about 75% better (I have IBS and my symptoms aren't all food related) so it's good motivation, but sometimes I still want to throw a tantrum and have a good cry.

When they did the skin prick test on me years ago, I was tested for 63 things. I tested allergic to 1/2 of those. Then they did an injection into my arms (7 on each side) of stuff from each category and I had reactions to 1/2 of those. The ONLY thing I did not have any allergic reactions to was animals.
I am allergic to wheat (and gluten intolerant), coffee (they tested it but I have no idea WHAT about coffee I'm allergic too), egg whites, peas (this just gives me a reason not to eat them), tomatoes and something else I can't remember.
Honestly, I eat everything I am not supposed to. I suck at sticking to specific foods but I also don't have super gastric issues that I deal with. However, I was tested so many years ago that if I do have gastric issues I'm assuming I just consider it "normal me".
Yes. I have loads of allergies.
I am allergic to corn- in all forms. This can be so hard to get out of the diet it can make you think you're allergic to loads more then you actually are.
At my worst, I couldn't have corn, rice, sugar, legumes, mango, kiwi, citrus, dairy, banana, onion, garlic, any spices... gosh it's hard to remember them all now...
Once the corn got under control I found there were safe versions of almost everything I could eat. It's still hard but I have it down to a science now. I have a lot of trouble with produce because they use corn and soy on EVERYTHING. I also was diagnosed with celiac and that got rid of all my GI issues. My corn issues are rashes, hives, throat swelling, anaphylaxis etc.
It isn't easy... I am currently 25 weeks pregnant and MAD I can't have more food.
I'm allergic to MSG and walnuts. The MSG causes a full AnaShock and I carry and epi. Walnuts is still a "mild" reaction with soapy mouth. Seasonal allergies and Cats.
My DD is has reactions to walnuts and milk. Both DD and DS has eczema. Both children have seasonal allergies. DS gets a rash if he rolls in the grass.
I have bad ibs probably because im gluten intolerant and i dont really follow the rules. im also allergic to orange cats (they have different dander) seasonal allergies, and mangoes. dd is allergic to berries.
