I have DS and I signed up for mommy & me swim lessons but I am starting to get nervous about it. It's only for 30 minutes but keeping DS's attention on anything for 30 minutes straight is almost impossible.
If you did them at 16 months, how did your LO do?
Re: swim lessons
We started them around a year. Both kids love them! If you have a good teacher they'll have a bunch of different things to do as well as toys to play with (balls, watering cans, etc).
If it seems like your LO isn't into the structure, just do your own thing in the pool. It's not that strict at all; at least the two different places we've been. Ultimately the goal is to get the kid comfortable in the pool, so they should work with you on that.

regarding the bath....he used to love it (we had to drag him out) but now it's a total scream fest with him clinging to me and trying to climb out of the tub. That's one thing that has me worried. This only started about a week ago though.
He was in the pool quite a bit last summer but I highly doubt he remembers it
Guess I'll just have to wait and see how it goes!
