Is anyone avoiding using non-stick pots and pans? I read to avoid scratched or chipped ones. I have some traditional pots, but when I need a large pot, all we have are non-stick, and even though none of them are in awful condition, none are in mint condition either.

I mainly use stainless steel cookware and use non-stick only for things like cooking eggs. The non-stick pans I use are in good condition. I replace them every couple of years or earlier if they start to chip.
None of those things are specific to pregnancy for me, though. I'm just a little wary of the chemicals in non-stick pans generally, just not so wary that want my eggs to stick

yeah, this. I didn't even know non-stick cookware was on any list of things to avoid while pregnant. I know in general you're supposed to replace when the finish gets damaged/chipped/etc, but nothing specific to pregnancy.

You're pregnant AND insulting, congratulations! There are plenty of sources that talk about avoiding PFOAs, which are used in the making of non-stick cookware. I'm not making it up; it's not "ridiculous." You can say YOU think it is ridiculous to avoid non-stick cookware, but there is no need to call my post ridiculous.

ETA: Do what you think is safe, but I just follow what the FDA says, otherwise I'd drive myself insane and feel the need to live in a bubble. I just try to use my common sense and avoid the things I know are dangerous.
Ain't that the truth! With all the "don't do this" and "don't eat/drink that," what can I do/eat/drink? I was healthy before I got pregnant, I'm healthy now, and I want to do what is best for my baby, but I'm not gong to completely change my entire lifestyle. Sorry, getting frustrated by all the "don'ts" of pregnancy.
I'm not meaning to be insulting. You are not supposed to use them when they are damaged whether you are pregnant or not, you are correct about that. But it sounded like you wanted to avoid them just because you are pregnant. There are so many conflicting studies about almost everything out there. I just stick to what the FDA says.
