I vacuum my carpet (living room) once a week, or as needed. We don't have pets and no food is allowed in the living area. I vacuum our kitchen/dining room once a day. I can't stand to see/step on crumbs and the kids are little crumb makers.
I vacuum once a week. Ben is terrified of the vacuum cleaner (still), so I have to make DH take him upstairs or outside while I do it. If he weren't scared of it, I'd do it twice a week. However, I wipe up crumbs off of the kitchen floor with a damp paper towel every day.
Oh, and FWIW, we have hardwood throughout the house w/ area rugs.
I have house keepers every other week. I vacuum any problem spots when I see them with the stick vac, but I seldom get out the big vac unless I am having a party.
Our basement gets it once a week unless it's bad. Upstairs where the bedrooms are get it probably every other week since no food or anything is ever up there. Our main living space gets done twice a week at least. It depends on how messy he's been. However, when he was crawling, it was almost every day but we lived in a much smaller place that got dirtier much quicker.

The cleaning lady does it once every other week, and I usually do the high traffic areas twice between her visits. I don't do the upstairs at all myself since we don't wear shoes in the house and the dog isn't allowed upstairs. I figure twice a month by the cleaning lady is sufficient up there. We have hardwood floors in the entire house, but when we had carpet, I vacuumed a lot more often. More like every other day.
On our way to 3 under 4!

Baby Boy Due This Summer!
Once a week. But we have hardwood downstairs, which shows dirt less, and upstairs I don't really care what it looks like on a day-to-day basis.
I've always thought Nest ladies were way cleaner than anyone I know in real life. I asked my mom if she ever vacuumed more than once a week, and she looked at me like I had two heads.

Ok, now personally I am a slob when it comes to floors. I hate to vacuum and I don't do it enough - HOWEVER I do think a completely normal person would vacuum more than once a week, and I know that I should! You are fine to want to vacuum more than once a week. Definitely not crazy, lol.

The upstairs get it only once a week. The downstairs (which is the living room and kitchenette area) every other day depending on how messy dinner was. : )
I used to only vacuum once a week, but I have two boys and a DH that are a little messy.
I vacuum once a week now. We only have carpet in the bedrooms that are upstairs and we are not in upstairs much. The downstairs where we spend most of our time is hardwood and I sweep at least every other day. Before we moved in March, we had carpet in every room except kitchen and bathrooms and I vacuumed 2-3 times a week especially when DD was crawling.
The bedrooms get vacuumed once a week. Downstairs which includes the living room, dining room, playroom, mud room and entryway get vacuumed everyday. We have a dog, cat and toddler and I can't stand dirt, crumbs or seeing or feeling anything in the carpet. I do kill vacuumes though! Seriously! They come to my house to die because I think I use them so much. I've been through 3 vacuums in 3 years...We just invested in a Miele vacuum because I was destroying the ones I bought from target (hoovers) and the Miele came with a 7 year warrenty and I guarantee we will make very good use out of it!! Also it's bagged and I am so over bagless vacuumes, they make more mess than they clean!
I should vacuum at least every other day. I have tile in the kitchen & breakfast nook & should sweep that every day too but don't. I have hardwood in the family room & only have an area rug in there but should dust mop/vacuum every other day too. I sadly only consistently do it once a week. There are days where I see it really needs it so I do it but not all the time.

I could easily do it every day -- it needs it! We have 2 kids under 3 and a big shedding dog. However, I usually do it 2-3x a week.
The upstairs, however, gets done much less. Maybe 2x/month? Yikes. I should definitely do it more. But the dog isn't upstairs and we don't wear shoes up there. It just gets dusty.
This is flameful, but I only vaccum when I feel like it (which is one every other week). But lo started crawling tonight, so I probably need to pull the vaccum cleaner out more often now.
I vacuum the living room twice a week or so, and other rooms maybe once a week at most.

I used to vaccuum about 2 times a week downstairs and 1 time every 1 to 2 weeks upstairs before my DD. I had a great dane and a bulldog and they would shed a lot and are allowed anywhere. But now our great dane has passed away and my DD just started to scoot (not crawling yet) so I vaccuum the livingroom where she plays at least everyother day but the rest of the house fits the same routine as before. I have heard through the grapevine that one should vaccuum the same number of days as you have family members and add at least one more if you have pets in the main/high traffic spots. So in theory I should be vaccumming 4 times a week (Me, DH, DD, and 1 dog).
I sweep our tile kitchen and living room daily - sometimes 2x. I vacuum the area rug in our living room a couple times a week. We don't allow any food upstairs so I vacuum up there 1x a week or so.
We have all hardwood floors, tile and some area rugs. I never vacuum, but I sweep or use the swivel sweeper every day on the main floor. I do the bedrooms once a week
The living room and hall get vacuumed a few times a week. I sew a lot in my living room and it is where the frount doo is so it just gets dirty so fat. DS crawls around and eats stuff off the floor if I don't vacuum often.
The stairs only get vacuumed racily maybe once or twice a month. I should vacuum them more but I hate doing it.
Everyday. My dog sheds like crazy. We have cream carpet and she is a black dog. Bad mix. Plus, I feel like a freshly swept carpet makes my whole house feel clean...even that is all I did.
