We just moved to a new city a few months ago, so I'm still trying to meet other moms and make friends. We go to playdates, the gym, library time, etc. all throughout the week. I'm looking to start a hobby that I can do without DH and DS (I'm starting to feel like the nanny- DH plays tennis, goes to car meets, etc.!)
So, I'm looking for suggestions - what do you like to do on your own time?
Re: What's your hobby?
I used to draw a lot. Charcoal and colored pencils mainly. After that it was cake decorating. Took some classes at JoAnn's. Then went to knitting, but that was short lived. Now I'm looking for a new one. I'm leaning towards beading/jewelry making or something like that.
As soon as the kids are all in school, I'm taking up drawing and cakes again.
Gym
Sew (mostly after the girls are in bed, though)
Read
reading (book club), cooking, photography.
Have you looked into mom's groups where you are? I see it says you're in Switzerland, but I'm sure there are groups there like there are here
My mom's group offers evening mom-only activities once a week and it makes a world of a difference to my mental health to be able to get out regularly w/out the kids!

The Blog
I love to read - I will go to a coffee shop by myself and sit and read.
I also love to cook, bake and workout. I also enjoy time alone either at our neighborhood pool or at the beach
Drinking.
Hehe. Just kidding. Sorta
I have a blog - like everyone - that is all DS, all the time. So there's that. But hobbies? Hmmm... I guess I gave those up when DS was born.
Now I has a sad.
Baking. I love it!
Also, crafty-type things. I used to scrapbook but pretty much gave it up when I had DD since it took me a year to complete my first, and only scrapbook. I got into making felt flowers and made a cool yarn wreath with them. I've also made things like birthday banners for the LOs.
My Blog
LOL! That's it....I'll start building my tolerance - back to pre-baby weight class ;-)
