telling my team tomorrrow (XP from Dec.)

I coach high school soccer and my maternity leave will cause me to miss our competition season. I have to tell this to my kids tomorrow. I'm really nervous about it because I'm very close with many of the girls, some of which have been on my team for 3 years. We planned to get pregnant and have a baby in the spring, and avoid a soccer baby, but of course, that didn't work out. I'm obviously thrilled about the baby, but sad because there are a few seniors who will have a new coach for their last year. Ugh. I'm not looking forward to it at all. I know they will be really happy for me, but I know they'll be disappointed at the same time.

It's still a little early, but they have to make the decision over the summer if they are playing next year or not and we don't even know who my replacement is yet

Thanks. I really love those kids and like I said, I know they will be very excited and happy for me, but also sad for themselves. I am dreading going to work tomorrow. Worst part is, we have soccer 1st period, so I have to be there all day after that.
