Pregnant after a Loss

B6?

Does anyone take an additional B6 supplement for nausea?  What dosage do you take and when do you take it?

I have m/s every morning, at lunch, and at bedtime.  However, I don't want to ask for Zofran just yet.

  • When I was having bad m/s my dr. gave me samples of a vitamin that came in a 3-pack.  You take the regular vitamin, 8 hours later a B6, and another B6 another 8 hours later.  It did not work for me!  It might have worked when I was not at my peak-week.  I hope it works for you!

  • My doctor told me start with 50mg of B6 and work up as needed. Since it's water soluble she wasn't worried about me taking too much. I never took more than 100mg in one day. It looks like the studies that were done were on 25mg or 10mg three times a day. GL!

Unisom at night has also been a lifesaver for me. I totally recommend it. I think it also makes for better mornings.

I used the B-Natal pops/lozenges and they worked wonders for my m/s!  I got them at Walgreens, I think they contain about 2000 mcgs or something like that.

  • I take 25 mg three times a day.  I also have Zofran for when it really gets bad.
