Can't.keep.anything.down!!

I have been throwing up all day and can't keep anything down!  How long should I go like this before I call the Dr?

    Call now, they might call you in a script for Zofran to see if that helps you.   I hope you get some relief soon!

    I don't think it would hurt to call your Dr and ask when s/he thinks you should be concerned.

    If nothing is staying down call sooner rather than later, you don't want to end up dehydrated.

    What have you tried thus far?

    I would say before jumping to Zofran try unisom/b6 if you haven't yet.  It worked wonders for me yesterday. (yes I slept for almost 12 hours) but after I took it the nausea went away.

    I totally second the unisom/B6. There's a longer history of safety data with that than zofran. Try sips of fluid- anything that sounds good (lemonade, sprite, gingerale, chocolate milk, bubbly water). If you can't keep down sips, I would call, esp. if you haven't peed in several hours. GL!

    Another OTC med that worked wonders for me was Zyrtec.  Just make sure you don't get the Zyrtec D.

    Call them- if you're feeling bad, the Zofran will help.  Even if you aren't ready to take it yet, it is great to have it on hand.
