Twins Baby Shower Timing

I'm sure this has been discussed, but I couldn't find it... My family is asking me about when would be the best time for a shower. I'm thinking it might do it earlier than for a singleton since these babies could come early. What was your experience/recommendation?

We did one at 26 weeks and one at 29. It felt like they were really early, but it ended up working out well, since I was able to still be on my feet, greet guests, etc. the whole time by that point. After 29 weeks, I would have needed to sit a lot more!

Mine was at 29 weeks, took advice from this board when my Mom scheduled it. Although I would have been fine later to have it glad we did early. It was nice to get everything early to go thru it all, wash and set up stuff.

We had mine at 26 or 28 weeks, it was perfect timing for me, I got pretty uncomfortable after 32 weeks.

I think mine was 29/30. I was on bed rest since week 23. I knew I needed to go before I got into the 30s. Had the boys at 34. It worked out nice cause I was okay enough to sort thru stuff and organize AND return stuff!!!

Mine was at 32 or 33 weeks. Can't remember... I felt decent but wouldn't have wanted it any later.

I had one at 28 and 29 weeks. I definatly wouldn't have wanted it any later. By 29/30 weeks it was hard for me to get around and I tired easily.. I also delivered at 34 weeks-so it was nice to know in advance what I still needed to purchase.

We did ours at 26 weeks and it was perfect timing. I was still comfortable enough to really enjoy myself which was great. I also went into preterm labor 2 weeks later

I had mine at 26 weeks due to having to travel three hours. It was great!

My sister has set mine for 27 weeks. It'll be easier on us all since MH and I are usually out of town on most weekends starting early September (if I'm allowed to go this year, that is). Plus, I wanted to make sure we had it before the babies get here.

Our friends and family one was at 26.5 weeks, and my work shower was a few days later... They went on the earlier side in case the twins came earlier than we expected, or I went on bedrest.

most pg twin moms hit a wall around 27-28w... even when all is going well- so i'd have it around 26w if possible.

My shower was when I was close to 29 weeks. I would suggest not going past 30 weeks only because you want to be comfortable and there is always a chance of bed rest as you get closer to your due date.
