Does anyone have an iPad?

It's started to intrigue me. DH and I are down to one computer - a MacBook. But we have so little time to ourselves and both of us do a lot of stuff online, so we never get enough time in the evenings when we're switching back and forth. We're thinking maybe we need to get a second one. I would want something that I could Bump, Skype, blog, and do email on, and upload photos to post online. Would the iPad allow me to do that?

Only the ipad2 has cameras to skype and you'll need the skype app (free). To post on the bump you have to turn java script off or download a different browser- both pretty easy. I've never used mine to load pictures but imagine it would be very easy. There's an app for email that makes it super quick to check. For what you're looking for i would say it would work out great. Or you could get a netbook for half the price and do all the same things- but it's pc, not Mac if you're strictly a Mac house. I have both and prefer the netbook to bump/email because typing is more natural/quicker. But I cant play angry birds on my netbook

I don't have an iPad but I know they make aftermarket keyboards to attach to iPads. I think trying to type a post or a blog entry on a touch screen would drive me bananas.
