nanny share?

Will be going back to work after maternity leave (september) and would love to find another family to share a nanny with in the la jolla/utc area.  anyone know a good website to find other families looking for shared childcare?

    Hi! This could work out really well...I'm due in June and going back to school full time in Sep. I live in UTC (right near the La Jolla Colony Park) and am hoping to find a nanny share too! Do you want to send me a private msg on this site and then I can send you my email/cell? Either way, it looks like we're neighbors and having babies around the same time, so it would be fun to meet up!Smile Oh, I already have  a 14 month old boy so not sure if you're interested in sharing with a family that will have two kids, but let's chat!

    Hi!  Looks like you might be all set, but I want to know the answer to your question also - about where to find more info about care/nanny sharing in SD!  Coincidentally, I also live in the La Jolla/UTC area (by Doyle park) and will be going back to work all too soon - next month.

    If anyone knows another way to look into daycare/nannies besides here... holler!

    Hello,

    I have a four month old and am looking for childcare part-time/full-time or a nanny share.  I live in Clairmont just after the 52 in a nice house.

     Are you still looking or have any info on nanny share??

    It does look like you're all set..I live in Clairemont as well, just on the other side of UTC.  My H & I put our little girl on a couple of wait lists for daycare, but would be interested in a nanny share as well.  We wouldn't need it until July at which time our little girl would be almost 6 months. 

    Let me know if anyone is interested or has found a great site for nanny shares.

    We actually obtained our nanny from a very reputable agency in SD called Seaside Nannies. WE found the agency while doing a google search for San Diego Nannies.  Seaside Nannies had amazing reviews so I thought I would call and investigate...

    My neighbor and friend really could not afford a nanny, so we thought we would just call and see if a nanny share was a possibility and we ended up finding a nanny that came to us already background checked with all of her credentials.

    The owner is incredible and very personable and has been taking care of families for over 20 years.  She came over to meet us face to face and was truly interested in knowing about the children and our parenting styles.  It was great!  She then sent over 4 candidates that were exactly what we were looking for and it was a very tough decision, as we actually had a very hard time choosing between two of them.

    It has now been about 11.5 months and our nanny has worked out to be way more than ever expected! 

    Not only did we find a great nanny but working with a real nanny service as opposed to an online data base like CARE.COM or SITTER CITY, proved to be the best thing, not only for our children, but for both of our "pieces of mind"!!

    We highly recommend Seaside Nannies in San Diego for anyone who wants a meticulous and professional caregiver for their child!

    I am going to be moving to UTC in July, and am due in December.  I have been hoping that I can nanny and mommy at the same time.  I was a nanny for many years, but am currently a retail manager. I have a strong suspicion that if I try to go back to work after I deliver I won't last long with the crazy hours that are necessary in retail.  If anybody is interested in an arrangement where I take care of both of our children PM me.

    I am expecting a boy in late June / early July 2011.  I'm planning on returning to work in the first half of October.  I live in North Clairemont and work near UTC.  Ideally I'd like to have a nanny share.  I'm flexible with hosting at my house or dropping off if it it in North Clairemont, University City or UTC.  If there is a good fit I'm also willing to put the work in to find a suitable nanny as well.  Please send me a message if you interested in working together.
