My baby just turned 1...

Yesterday was my DD's 1st birthday and we had a party for her today. So fun, but glad that its over and my stress is relieved a bit.

Here's my question - is there something about the first birthday that makes us parents (temporarily?) feel ready for another LO? DH and I have both had baby fever the past week or so, but are planning on waiting until DD is closer to 1.5 to ttc. I guess I'm wondering if this readiness for #2 is sincere, or if there's something about the 1st birthday - saying goodbye to the infant stage - that makes us parents feel this way for a little bit?

    Totally emotional- and surprisingly so was my hubby. We were both tearing up when we put her to bed last night. Not that it happened overnight - but she's SO big now.

    I would wait a couple of months until she has really become a toddler and then make a decision.  Lily really became a toddler around 14 months and has not looked back.  LOL  ;b

    I think there is something to be said about a baby turning 1.  OR maybe because I always got PG then!  Party!!!  I got KO the weekend DD1 turned 1 and when DD2 was 14 mo.  Both PG's ended in m/c which is why we do not have 2u2.  I have yet to get my 1st pp AF, so I have been stressing about a PG again even though DH had a V.

    I think it has a lot to do with them turning one. I spent a lot of time looking at pictures and it brought back so many memories. It really gave me baby fever just to remember her being so little and all the fun times that came with the months leading up to the first birthday.

    DD#1 is 3! And LO#2 is on his/her way! Due Feb 26th, 2014.

     

    BFP#1: EDD 5/7/2010 born on 5/20/2010. A little girl named Emily.  

    BFP#2: m/c 10/29/2012 EDD was 6/21/2012 Baby Hope was 6 weeks 3 days. 

    BFP#3: Twin B stopped growing at 8 weeks and 5 days. Found on 8/10/2014. EDD was 2/26/2014. Twin A is still doing great and due date is 2/26/14.
