I have NO clue when to start tummy time. I've heard newborn's can do it for a few seconds, but I've also heard to wait until a couple months old. What are you doing and what's appropriate?
We've been doing tummy time a couple times a day - this has also been "air out the butt" time and I put down a couple towels because he pees every single time.
Yes, I already started tummy time. But I think that my LO is weird. She was holding her head up on day one. She is already using her legs to boost up her butt when she is on her tummy. She is going to be crawling before I know it.
They had us start the day we came home from the hospital. No joke. Dr. said no reason to wait on the stump.
If you get, get going on this. Do it several times a day. We like to have LO try it in her crib while we stand and watch. Then later I'll put the Boppy in there and have her do it on there.
Audrey HATES tummy time! I'm not worried though because she's doing fine with her head control/neck strength. We've had her in the Bumbo seat and when we hold her now we can't hold her head because she moves it around so much. Lately when I hold her on my hip I just have my hand behind her back and she does this little rocking dance thing.. it's so cute lol! She's getting so strong!

I know everyone says "start now or you should have started from day one"! Don't feel concerned that you haven't been doing it yet, I was late getting started. At DS one month checkup, the DR was impressed with his neck strength and I had nothing to do with it.
I started tummy time about a week ago and DS is doing fine! I put him on his tummy maybe 3 times total and he already rolled over ) https://youtu.be/Ef6I-O2v78E
I attempted to get him to roll over again...instead he's more interested in screaming while frantically waving his legs around. So happy I caught it on video when I did!
