late in the game newbie-advice and detergent ??

we are just starting CDing.. we tossed it around for a loong time. we finally are jumpin on and doing it. i am buying used BG 3.0 one size.. i think that will work best for us. a friend suggested rockin green detergent and i am wondering if there are any other options.. method or anything else from target??

any CDing advice is appreciated i am just starting so all ideas welcome

From Target you can use both Dropps or Tide.

We use Tide Original. But that is being discontinued. Some people say Tide Ultra powder is okay and some people have had problems. So. Not sure what I am going to do.

I started with Purex Free and Clear and it worked great for a few months but then my diapers started to stink and it wouldn't go away. I switched to Rockin Green in Novemeber and that's what I've used since then. I just this week tried Tide Original to see if it would get the stains out of my diapers and it did, but it's not a highly reccomended detergent according to this website. I've found that in the cloth diaper world it is always throwing you a curve ball and you may need to mix things up i.e. change detergents over time to see what works best for your washer, water, child and wash routine! Good luck! This board is very helpful!!

Do you have an HE washer or top loader? I have a top loader. Rockin Green told me to use 3 tablespoons and it's been working great.
