Head & Shoulders for babies?

LO's scalp is all flaky and dry. Poor thing has been scratching it, so I know it must itch too. She needs some dandruff shampoo! I put the Aveeno baby lotion on her head after every bath, but that's clearly not cutting it. Any suggestions???

A lady I know had h&s suggested for cradle cap and she said it burned the ever loving crap out of her baby's head. So I have no suggestions just that one little tidbit.

Try coconut oil. It's amazing on dd's eczema. I was slathering her in Aquaphor 5 times a day and it was just barely doing it. I switched to coconut oil and it has totally cleared up. I just put a bit on in the morning and evening. I think I would rub it on your daughters head, comb out the flakes and wash as normal.

My pedi had me use head and shoulders on my daughter for her cradle cap. I would just squirt a little on and then scrub it with a toothbrush. The pedi told us to leave it on for 10 minutes 2-3 times a week. It cleared it up in about a week. Just be careful not to get it in their eyes because they will scream unholy hell for hours on end (I might have found this out the hard way).

I used head and shoulders on my baby too. It didn't work as well as soaking it in baby oil and scrubbing.

My pedi just told us yesterday to use head an sholders on Jay. She also suggested using mineral oil and cotazone cream. Jays craddle cap is very bad so in addition to all of that we have a prescription for it!
