2nd Trimester

so sick of water!!

Okay i think the subject explains it all...lol, but anyway i really am so sick of water i feel like i'm gonna drown! i don't drink soda and i usually drink alot of milk but i don't want to drink to much in a day and get constipated. I also don't drink coffee much maybe 1 cup a week so i'm kinda stuck, any advice or tips??

  • Add Crystal Light packets to your water. 

    Gatorade.

    Have a glass of juice in place of one of your glasses of water.

  • I have gotten sick of water as well so I started using Crystal Lights Pure to add to my water because it does not have artificial sweeteners which I really like. I also have just recently started drinking La Croix (I think I spelled that right) water. Its carbonated but does not have any calories or sweeteners just a little flavoring like lemon and lime. Its amazing on ice and every time I drink it I feel my LO starts to kick and squirm. Hope that helps Big Smile

  • Seltzer water, seltzer with a little cranberry juice, sliced cucumber in water, herbal iced tea, lemonade

     

    Crystal Light has aspartame in it as an FYI.

  • I buy different flavors of juice (so I don't get sick of one kind) and do 1/4 juice and 3/4 water. That way it has some flavor but I am not getting all the calories of a whole glass of juice.

  • I also have been putting lemon or lime juice in my water since day 1. It really helps with the water Blahs!

    I also like mineral water to mix things up a bit - add some lemon or lime

    A bit of juice mixed into the water

    ETA:  There are actually versions of Crystal Light out there these days that don't have artificial sweetners

  • I don't drink a lot of milk and I don't drink coffee and tea (sadly enough) tastes bad nowadays. I don't drink juice or soda, so what's left? Water. I'm also struggling with water tasting horrid to me. I've found a little bit of lemon in my water helps a lot. I've come across recipes where a pitcher is filled with water along with orange, lime and lemon wedges to flavor it. I haven't tried it yet because of heartburn issues, but I will pretty soon. I'm also thinking of picking up some Crystal Light.

  • I'm sick of water too. I usually make kool-aid or lemonade. My doctor told me not to use Crystal Light though.
  • You can throw a lot of stuff in water - citrus is great, and you don't have to use the whole thing, it's a great use for leftover rinds (that's where the oils are) lemons, oranges, limes.

     Otherwise I LOVE putting pineapple in water to give it some sweetness.  Or cucumber makes it really fresh.  You can even play with herbs like mint.  Try mixing some of these together for fun combos.

  • Crystal Light Lemonade!  Also, Wal-mart has flavored sparkling water - strawberry is the best...I forget the brand maybe clear choice?  No calories or caffeine, but obviously has carbonation but no sodium.

  • Soda water ( Club soda) with a spoon full of frozen Limeaide...add a little fresh mint it's just like a Mojito without the rum! Tastes just the same. Lovely.  

     Going on 19 weeks and still suffering from "all day sickness" - even water makes me sick so soda water has been a savior as I really crave carbonation and don't like all the sugar in pop.
