I miss you all. I've really, really, and i mean really been struggling with post partum depression. I'm on count it my 6th different medication to try and beat this. We kept me on Lexapro and now added Abilify. I told my doctor yesterday this is enough. The meds she has prescribed and therapy is not helping. She needs to refer me to a psychiatrist. Because I think there is something deeper going on. I don't know what but there is. My work is suffering, my home life is suffering. my child is almost one and I want to be "present" when i'm with him. not in a haze.
i did struggle with depression prior to pregnancy but never this bad and never where medication or therapy didn't help. it's different this time.
i've already tried zoloft, celexa, wellbutrin, effexor and am now on lexapro and abilify. Oh and I also have crazy anxiety and panic attacks so I'm xanax too
I'm posting over here instead of the ppd forum because it's slow over there and I know you guys.
sorry for the long post. I'm just looking for some support.
Re: Hi ladies! it's been awhile. Andrew will be one in 5 days! I can't believe it
I'm so sorry to hear your are struggling with PPD. Have you had your B12 levels checked? I was diagnosed with a B12 Deficiency recently and was told it probably contributed to some mild PPD I had after Teagan was born. With my other three, I did not have any PPD issues.
Hope things get better soon and you enjoy Andrew's First Birthday!

It's good to see you! I'm sorry your having a rough time with the PPD. I hope the psychiatrist can help sort things out for you. I hope to see you around more!
Happy birthday Andrew!
