Parenting after a Loss

NBR vent

I know I've been MIA lately, so sorry for popping in to just vent, but I just really need to get this off of my chest. Work sucks right now! I have been so freaking busy lately that I haven't even been eating lunch (which I'm ok with), but I have a co-worker (who also happens to be my union rep!) who has the nerve to complain that I'm not doing my job. We had an hour and a half meeting after my work hours to discuss with my boss her "concerns". On a good note, my boss totally thinks she's crazy and backed me up. I am just so freaking frustrated! Oh and one of her examples was something that happened 3 years ago! Thanks for "listening"!

Re: NBR vent

  • Boo to irritating co-irkers.  I'm sorry you had to stay late for that crap!

Phew! At least she is just the union rep, and not the union president or something. I would let your union president/vice-president know that she is bad-mouthing a fellow union member, that is a huge NO NO! Or at least ask the union president or vice president to send out a friendly reminder that bad-mouthing fellow union members is not acceptable- maybe she will get the hint.

Did you agree to this meeting? Or was it just sprung up on you? Could you file a grievance for the meeting procedure?  If your union rep called the meeting, that is really shady.

In my hast, I wrote it wrong...she is my union PRESIDENT! I did agree to the meeting, because I thought a face to face might help, but really it just infuriated me.

  • I've never been part of a union, but nonetheless, I'm sorry that work is being such a pain.  Although I miss the money, I'm amazingly relaxed at work since going PT.  I hope things get better soon for you.
