Babies: 9 - 12 Months

anyone else have a rough day? long

Sigh. Today started off stressed because DH had an interview at my company and we really really need this new job for him. Interview went well and we will find out next week.

But this afternoon was the worst. Ok, not really, but I got extremely frustrated. LO took only a 30 minute nap this afternoon and that = cranky baby till bath time. Well, she woke and I was giving her a bottle and she was drifting off to sleep when the dog starts freaking out about the thunder. I know I should feel bad for him, but at the time he was the thing waking my baby. So the rest of the afternoon every cranky/crying moment I was getting more mad at the dog because in my frustrated brain he was the one and only reason she was cranky and wouldn't get off of me.

The I was feeding LO dinner, pureed squash, and the stupid containder exploded in my white sweater.

Then it just led me getting frustrated with the baby, I yelled at the dog and he is currently outside till DH gets home cause he is so needy right now I feel like I'm going to explode.

Sorry, if you made it this far thanks for reading. I am currently with my best friend, Jose. He is starting to make me feel better, and sleeply. Here's to friday night, right ladies?

Sorry you had a rough day. I got mastitis! Does that count?

  • Um, as a former BF'er that had mastistis, it counts, and I think you might have won.

Ugh, be careful.  I had it at 8.5 months and ended up in the hospital.

Yeah - it blows. But, luckily, I caught it right away and knew what I was dealing with, thanks to hearing the stories of other women who have been through it. That stuff hits you like a ton of bricks! And at least in my case, it came on within a few hours! I immediately called my doctor and got on antibiotics and I'm feeling a bit better. Rough days are rough days for different reasons. Whether it be mastitis or anything else...they're all rough.

  • If this is your idea of a rough day -- I mean, seriously, post on the Internet for pity rough -- you need an attitude adjustment.

    Sorry.

Geez, it's people like you why I hesitate to post on here anymore. Someone actually has something honest to say relating to the board and I'm told I need an attitude adjustment? I guess I was wrong thinking someone could offer a little support or could maybe relate to what I was going through today. Thank you to those who offered some understanding.

  • That sucks - little things piling up like that can be overwhelming (I know too!). Hope your Saturday is going better :)

  • I get frustrated with my dogs as well. I get so upset when they wake my LO up or grab her toys and take off with them. I feel like I have THREE kids but I only have ONE. Anyway, sorry it was a rough day....I can relate.
