Barbie dolls

Is there an age that kids really seem to (on average) get into playing with Barbies?  My mom never got me any barbies!

I'm just curious if interest in Barbie dolls starts at this age, or later.. (of course all kids are diff, and some wont' at all..)

    My 3.5 year old girl plays with Barbies. She usually ends up playing with my 5 year old son.... thanks Toy Story 3 lol. At least he uses the Ken doll.

    DD got a box of Disney Princess Barbies (like 10 of them all dolled up in their dresses, crowns, etc) for Christmas (just under 3 yo. They are her favorite toy right now.

    My DD has a few Barbies (they're actually Disney princess dolls, but they're Barbie sized) and plays with them fairly often. She likes to switch their clothes around, which is of course too tricky. She probably plays with them 4 times a week.

    I got the girls the disney princess barbies and a car at Christmas and some ballerina barbies last fall when dd started ballet. They play with them a few times a week. DD1 likes to switch their clothes and play with their hair. I hope they like to play with them for many more years.

    My girls are 3 and almost 5 and both love Barbies.  My 3 year old got a few for her 3rd birthday and if I recall, my almost 5 year old got her 1st one for her 4th birthday.

    DD has been playing with Barbies since she was a little over 2. But the older she gets the more into them she get.
