spent the afternoon in L&D

What a day. Had my Dr. appointment at 10am.  Blood pressure was a little high for me, so he wanted me to wait a bit after he saw me, get it rechecked and if it didn't go down, off to L&D I would go.  Well, it didn't and off I went.

Had to get blood work, urine, NST and and Ultrasound.  3 hours later everything came back beautiful! The (male) nurse was confused as to why exactly my Dr sent me!  So good news there.  Just a wasted day.  Here are the stats as to where I stand

LO is measuring in at 7lbs 6oz, smaller then I would have thought. But, I'll take it.  Downside is her head is in the 97%. We were expecting that. Both of us have large mellons!!  I am 60%effaced and 2 cm dialated.  And "very very soft" He was pretty sure that I wouldn't be pregnant for long. Maybe by the weekend.  He did ask if I wanted to start any kind of induction, or get it scheduled, I declined. gonna wait, see what she does on her own.  So, I guess we keep waiting! But it was good to hear that SOMETHING was moving down there!!  He was more excited by how soft I was then the actual measurements.  Told me to go have lots of Sex.... geez I love my Dr. Big Smile

    Wow, maybe there is something to this Full Moon theory.  Glad to hear things are shaking lose down there!

    I agree about the sex .. it's gonna be awhile before you're back in the saddle Wink

    WOW! So you are getting super close!!! I'm betting on Monday. Are you able to walk at all? What is the other advice...eat spicy food AND have sex? LOL...either way....I can't wait to hear about your LO!!!! Wooohoooo!

    awesome news girlie! Sorry you had to waste a day, but maybe its a prep for the big day!

    Lucky you that your soft and dialated, yeah! I wish you the best for an easy delivery! How are you feeling? Your body will tell you what to do and naturally labor. WOW, awesome for you!

    Sex?? What is that? :) I have been banned for 1 and 1/2 month already. My MW said I should wait until I am 36 weeks, then I can relearn:)

    Glad everything's okay.  And regarding the sex, if you're up to it, have all the sex you can take!  Things will be on hold down there for a while. Wink

    It feels like a few days before Christmas! Not exactly Christmas Eve, but maybe like Dec 20th....LOL   I just hope things keep moving in the right direction!
