So the birth story. Well we went in Tuesday at 8am to be induced. They started me on pitocin at around 9am and my contraction started getting really close and regular really quick so they had to turn off the pitocin for a bit and I labored on my own. Everything seemed to be going great. Pain wasn't too bad but the nurse told me once they broke my water all hell would break loose and did I want the epidural before they ruptured me. I told her no I think I could handle it for a bit. Well my water broke on its own then the doctor came in and finished getting all the fluid out. That was the end of my easy labor. I was almost immediately in extreme pain. They finally got me an epidural which was nice for a good 5 minutes. Then the contractions were back even worse then before in my lower back and abdomen. They were so bad they made me throw up. So they called the anithesieologist back and he gave me something else but it did not work. They realized baby was face up and she was putting all her pressure onto my spine. I was seriously that woman screaming her lungs out in pain and all the other patients must have thought I was being murdered. My poor dad couldn't even wait in the waiting room because hereing me in so much pain was too much for him. They finally called another anithiesiologist in and she suggested a low dose spinal tap. Oh yes that was supposed to work for a good 3 hours. It was supposed to help my body relax so I could finish dilating and it should have lasted through the delivery. Nope it lasted about 15 minutes. So I pretty much got to deliver with no meds to a face up baby. At about 10pm I started to push. The pushing was extremely hard and painful and I almost passed out a few times. But finally after about an hour I had my little girl. No one thought she would be as big as she was. Even my doc was astonished. When she crowned my doctor's exact words were "Wow that's a lot of baby in there!" Then when she was all the way out my doctor says "Congrats you have a preschooler!" haha. No one was quite sure how she fit in my belly as I did not have a very big bump. I ended up with a 3rd degree tear...I was a puzzle to put back together according to my doctor. Eek.

We ended up staying in the hospital 2 nights because poor baby girl had some low level jaundice and the pediatrics nurse cut her cord too short and was irritated. So our 2nd night in the hospital I did not get to have my baby girl with me. We are home now and I am in a lot of pain. Meaning my butt and vagina hurt!!! Going to the bathroom sucks, it hurts so bad to sit on the toilet. It hurts to sit period lol. Well I guess that is all for now Big Smile
