DD has been fighting sleep during the day and also now after her 3am feeding. What are your ways to soothe/put them to sleep when they are SOOOO tired?!?!
Get the DVD Happiest Baby On The Block it really works. My DH could never get Olivia to sleep watched this DVD and she goes every time now no problems.
I think the Happiest Baby on the Block 5 S's are swaddle, shhh's, side-lying, sucking, and swinging (right?). The book says you need to do all 5 just right for them to work. However, I've found that doing the Shhh's in LO's ear with some swinging/bouncing/back patting works really well.
Make sure you have the other basics covered as well - fed, changed, and warm. My LO was fighting his nap all afternoon until I realized he was just chilly.
I swaddle, swing and pacifier. This is a few of the happiest baby tips, I should really watch those DVD's I hear it works great. I just bought a night light that changes color since LO seems so interested in lights, but I have to get him calm first before he will even relax to look at it.
