Embarrassed :(

So I finally took a pic this weekend of my belly, and I am completely mortified. I feel like I look 6 months pregnant instead of 4! I will post a pic tomorrow, but am a little embarrassed at how big my stomach already looks. I have also only gained 5 or 6 pounds so far, any thoughts?

    I'm sure you look fine.  Don't worry unless your doc tells you otherwise about your stomach or the weight gain.

    My thoughts are:

    1. It's probably mostly bloat

    2.  Everyone shows differently.

    You and I are about the same length along.  It can feel like we are huge, but I find that if I take my belly pic first thing in the AM, it looks more accurate.  Also, I think a bare belly pic looks more accurate than a clothed one.  I am due for my next belly pic on Friday morning and I know it's going to be the most dramatic change up to now.

    What kind of belly pic did you take?  And try it again as soon as you wake up tomorrow!

    I feel you...I posted my 18 week belly pic earlier, and I look bigger than some of the 20-something weekers.

    I'm right there with you... I don't mind having a belly, but then telling people I'm only 14wks is the difficult part.

    I took a pic this morning and it is like in the last week I suddenly 'popped' and started showing.

    haha thanks for the response girls! I will post tonight if I can get home in time after voting. I did take the pic clothed, so lets hope that added a few pounds :) (wishful thinking) I will try one tomorrow morning also to see the difference! I also still feel like I haven't popped!

    I have a lot of belly fat and was very embarassed too when showing a lot around the time you are. It's ok, it'll balance out in a few weeks. Don't worry too much.

    i have learned that you look way bigger to yourself than you look to anyone else.  i could not understand why no one could tell i was pregnant for the first few months because i thought my tummy was way out there and it really wasn't... it's just that i know my body so well that any difference seemed major.

    Aww!  I get you, but I try not to compare to others.  I haven't posted one on here yet.  I feel like I'm carrying kind of high and sometimes I think that makes me look bigger than I am.  Everybody's body is different, I guess!

    IF the pic looks bad, it obviously was either taken from a bad angle or with a faulty camera.  You are beautiful.  :-)

    I thought sure I gaineda  bunch of weight at my last appointment because my belly popped.  The doctor told me that when your uterus shifts (I don't know it it drops or what) that is what causes your belly to pop out.  So don't stress it.  You haven't gained much at all!
