They say a picture is worth -- well, 25 cents...
Yeah, that is from this afternoon. For a quarter DD swallowed Sunday afternoon. We are incredibly lucky she didn't choke on it (she was alone in her room for naptime). And she's the safe kid who never puts things in her mouth! I'm predicting a Children's Hospital fishing expedition before the week is out.
Ugh.

Re: what you have to look forward to...
I was wonder this also. I hope everything 'comes out' ok.
I hope this "passes" without incident!
And, yeah, did your DD let you know she ate it? (So worried about that!)

Yes, thank goodness. And thank goodness she didn't choke! It was naptime and she was alone in her room and suddenly started crying and told us she had swallowed a penny, later identified by her as a quarter. Another nestie's DS choked on a quarter and she said it took 3 tries with the heimlich to get it out. I'm waiting to hear from the pediatrician today about next steps but yep, she is supposed to be eating bran muffins -- ate half of one last night and sent her to DC with another this morning.

OMG.. this is my nightmare. Charlie is always putting crap in his mouth.. rocks, sticks, dirt. I don't think he's swallowed anything... yet.
At the church nursery last Sunday, we picked him up and he had two pieces of plastic from some broken toy in his mouth. The main caregiver was mortified and freaked out. We saw her yesterday and she was still so concerned, but so far, everything seems fine. (Cross fingers!)
