39 weeks only measuring 36

I had my 39 week yesterday, which didn't go as well as I hoped. My OB is concerned b/c I lost 8 lbs, and for the 4th week in a row I am only measuring at 36 weeks.  She said I should be at last at 37 weeks by now. She kept asking me if I thought I might be losing fluid, my answer was I didn't think so. So she sent me for an ultrasound to check the baby's fluid level, and his growth. She told me that she was concerned that he may have stopped growing, since there has been no change ion my fundal measurements.

Well at my ultrasound today the fluid level around the baby was great, however he is only measuring at 36-37 weeks, weighing an estimated 5-6 1/2 lbs. I'm concerned b/c at the other ultrasound I had he was measuring right on time.

Is anyone else going through anything similar?

I'm now waiting for the doctor's phone call to find out, if everything is okay, and what is going to happen next.

    Im in the exact position as you. My stomach measures 4 wks behind and the baby usually measured right on time, however last week she measured a week and a half behind. My fluid is also good so Im not sure whats going on. The doctor didnt seem overly concerned but it worries me :(

    I measured 36.5 at my 39 week appointment.  My OB wasn't concerned but it did make me worry.  Baby was born the next day weighing 7 lbs 12 oz and perfectly healthy.  So try not to stress, most likely everything is just fine.

    At my 39 weeks appt a few days ago I measured 36 as well.  My doc wasn't concerned and told me it was probably because the baby had dropped.

    I had an ultrasound last week (37 weeks) to check LO's growth and he was measuring 34 weeks and about 5.5 lbs, but those scans can definitely be off! My dr said LO could just be a small baby and as long as my NST's go well she's not worried.
