bummed about induction

I really wanted to avoid an induction. But this baby is showing no signs of coming out on his own, so I'm scheduled to go in for an induction Sunday night. My cervix is still closed, so my doctor can't even do a membrane sweep. I feel like I'm going to be pregnant forever!

    I'm sorry you have to go through this- I am  also coming to terms with potential induction  on the 27th and am really bummed about it. Have you considered trying evening primrose oil for the last couple days to see if you can get your cervix to soften and open? Have you tried sex too? That may get your cervix opening. Good luck and hope you go into labor before Sunday.

    Same here. I'm maybe 1cm and "very soft" with his head "really low" but no real contractions or anything. I really wanted to avoid induction as well, but I have until Sunday night. I really thought the full moon might do it for me! Here's hoping these kiddos decide sometime between now and Sunday is a good birthday!

    currently typing from my l&d room for induction :) Dont worry too much, i cant complain about my induction up to this point. We started induction lastnight due to complications, and started cytotec lastnight at 8pm. As of now, im contracting every minute, epidurals in.....pitocins started, waters been broke and baby is doing beautifully! Due for another check of the cervix soon.  If the doctors want to induce I say listen to them, they are the professionals and are only looking out for your best interest.  Good luck to you all!

    I am feeling you here... I am trying to be induced but my body isn't working with the doctors...I am personally ready for a c-section (however REALLY don't want it)
